Sketch Saturday is here.
Can you believe we are bearing the end of April already?  This year really needs to slow down

So a very geometrical sketch this week.  I had a little fun with this one.  I used a My Favorite Things set Catitude.  So many people love cats (me included)and I don't have enough cat cards, so when I seen this sketch, that is what I wanted to add to this.

I kept the colour scheme simple.  Different shades of purple with shades of grey.
I did originally try different coloured cats but I did not like it.  And honestly, the cats are the hero of this project.  Definitely " catitude"
Thank you for popping in and having a look. Don't forget to check out all the other DT takes on this sketch.

It is Sketch  Saturday time again.
Here is this week's sketch.

I have been gradually familiarising  myself with some of my older sets.  I found some older background stamps.  This one is a very old SU one.  I needed something to fill the background on this.  Firstly I done it on the Very Vanilla panel.  It was too much.  Then I tried it on the Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock ink.  Perfect.

Added some Pecan Pie circles with stamped leaves from the SU Notes Of Nature set.  Coloured those with copic markers that closely resembled the cardstock colours.  Then to take out some of the colours I added white butterfly skeleton die cuts   added a gem to each one.

Lastly I added a black bannered sentiment.  Not my normal colour combo but I really the finished product.

Thank you for popping in.  Don't forget to check out all the other DT projects.

Wooly Cute

I seem to have a recurring theme happening here.  Baby cards.  And pink ones at that.  No one I know is expecting but this cute stamp set screams baby cards to me.

I will endeavour to make more if these and in a few different colours.  You can never have too many.  They always come in handy.
I used the Waffle Flower Postage Collage stencil and dies.  This was my first time using them.  Cannot wait to do more with them.
Mothers day is coming up.  I can see some cards being made in these items.
Thank you for popping in.  For more INS inspiration head on over to the Facebook group.
Happy crafting.

Back with Sketch Saturday.

Went a little different with this one.

I only done 3 diagonal strip's.  And you will notice they are branches.  Fits with the theme of birds.
I used the Stampin' Up sale a bration paper that everyone went nuts for.  The bird is from an older set, Free as a Bird.  The bird matched perfectly with the paper birds do that is how I coloured him.
Added a few little extras to fill, all in marmtching colours.  Pretty happy with this

Sketch Saturday time again.
I thought I might do a male card for this sketch.

This is a set I bought but have never used.  My aim this year is to get through as many unused sets as possible.

It is Stampin" Up"s Legendary Ride.  There is a stamp set with a die.  I used a sentiment stamp from the set but mainly just used the dies to make rhe motorbike from black and silver foil card stock.   I used the matching designer series paper fir the cut out panels fir the pattern to match the sketch.
Thank you for popping in.

time again.  Boy is time flying or what?
Here is this fortnights sketch.

And the twist this time around is "Feature green"
And without checking the twist before I started, that is exactly what I did

I have used all Stampin' Up supplies ( except for my copics)
Stamp set is "Notes of Nature" and I used the matching dies.  I also used Ornate Frames dies for around the sentiment.
I stamped the grid stamp on the 2 end rectangles at the bottom and then either side of the sentiment.  Stamped the field notes stamp in the centre bos, then filled the boxes up with the dot stamp.  All this was done in crumb cake ink.
Black ink was used for the sentiment, leaves and little flowers.
Leaves G46 G43 G40
Flower YR27 YR23 Y 15
Card base and sentiment frame are Pecan Pie cardstock.  And the front piece is Very Vanilla.
This card fell nicely into place.  I love symmetry and this card is no different.
Thank you for popping in and having a look.
Happy crafting.

Giraffe Road Trip

Hi everyone.  Back with
and their new release
Today I used the cute giraffes image.

I cut out a piece of white cardstock and die cut a decorative die down the side.  Using copic narkers  to add a background behind the image.  Coloured the giraffes to match the
paper I used on the base.  I die cut some green leaves and placed them under the die cut Happy Birthday with a couple of gems underneath to finish it off.
Hope you like this project.  Don't forget for more inspiration head over to the FB page.

Jungle Buddies

Hello and welcome to
new release.
Is the name of one of two sets this month and the paper pack
is also here to play with.

Now I kind of done something a little different.  I turned this black and white theme into a baby card.  This stamp set just screams baby cards to me.  I added the yellow to break it up.  Makes it a genre neutral card to have on hand.
This little zebra is so cute!
Thank you for stopping by. Don't forget the FB page has a ton more inspiration for you.

And todays optional twist is use something you love.

I didnt really play with the optional twist this time around, although I do love that patterned paper from SUs Sale a bration Catalogue

I  went with large postage stamp dies from Stamin' Up for the scallop shape.
I used Misty Moonlight for the card base, a sheet of the popular sale a bration DSP.  I sponged some Tumbled Glass oxiwd ink using a cloud stencil for the background behind the birds.
The birds are from the SU set Free as a Bird.  I have had this set forever and never used it.....until today!
I found the postage edges were looking a little lost with the pattern paper behind it so I drew the outline in.  Gave it the border it deserved to stand out.
Thank you for stopping by.  Please play along as we love to see how others interpret the challenge.
Happy crafting!

Koala-fied #3

Today I share the last of my double projects for you for
using the incredibly cute
Koala-fied

Purely Koala-fied is the set .  So many cute koalas to choose from.
I went into my stash and found a colour cardstock that matched the patterned paper Tricks N Treats the best fir the card base and the cut out behind the koalas. SU Fresh Freesia.
I die cut a random die from my collection ( which I did not label so it is nameless) from brushed silver cardstock.  Adhered this to the patterned paper.  Coloured up my little friend, cut him out and adgered to the rectangles die cut.  Stamped the sentiment and die cut it out using a banner die.  Put all these on the card to finish.
I just love that bokeh background.  Really adds an extra dimension to the card.
Thank you fir stopping by.  If you head to the INS FB page you will see a ton of inspiration from the design team.
Until next time, happy crafting!

I everyone.  Back again with another great sketch from
You get the choice of having an optional twist to play along with.  This week it is use your favourite stamp set.

I didn't play along with the twist today. I bought a new set and took it for a spin.

I have used Stampin Up's Thoughtful Expressions and Notes of Nature.
I have stamped 3 images from the first set.  Coloured them with Copic markers.
I have stamped the ephemera images from the second set with colours to match the bird.  I also inked the top of my paper piercing tool and added colour splotches to the 2 corners.
I added black die cut flowers, from the first sets matching dies ,behind the images.
Added some twine, gems and a sentiment.
Thank you for visiting and don't forget to play along with us.  We love to see your creations.
Happy crafting!

Koala-fied #2

Back to share more cuteness with you from
I am continuing to work my way through each of the Koala images in this set.

Images from
I stamped out the koala image along with 4 of the flowers and 7 of the leaves.  Coloured and cut them all out.
My aim this year is to use more of my stash, so I found this ombre paper and matched it with cardstock.  I die cut a heart from the middle of the paper.  While the die was still attached to the paper I took a pen and drew the outline in.  Added an extra dimension to the image.
I added a white piece of cardstock behind the cut out heart to break up the green.  Added some blue copic marker in the background for sky.  Foam taped this to the card front.  Koala is also popped.  Added the flowers and leaves.  Stamped and cut out the sentiment from the set.  Added a couple of gems to finish off.
Thank you for popping in and checking out my little corner of the "interweb".

Koala-fied

I am here today to share my first project with
I have to say I am so excited for this.  As you know I am an Aussie and love when a company brings out Australian animals.
Koala-fied is the cutest set yet!!
So many koala's to choose from.  So I played and now I share with you.

Since Valentines Day is comin g up I thought I would play with this cutie couple.  My favourite die to use with Australian themed images is a gum leaf with gum nuts.  So I cut as many as I needed to fill the side of the card.  The stamped images is cut out with SU Deckled Circles.
I hope you like my project and thank you for popping by to have a closer look.
Happy crafting!

#742 and Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2024!

I hope you are all ready for a very busy crafting year.  I know I am.

I take the time between when school finishes for the Christmas break through to the new year to spend time designing and planning for the year ahead.

I plan to be more organized this year,  how

about you?  Balance my life of family, health, get my vegetable garden up and running again and of course, crafting.

I had better get to the first sketch of the year I guess (hahaha).

This is a great sketch for using up your scraps of card stock.  Sometimes it just seems to build up and up. And that also happens to be our optional twist, us scraps!

I did use some scraps for this project.  Having different sized rectangles/squares allows the use of different sized scraps. I used my Honeybee stamps die Lovely Layers Lures for the hooks and bouy.  Love the pop of colour on top of the blue monochromatic background.
I stamped the coral from an old SU set to add to the nautical theme.
Don't forget to play along with us.  It is a great way to kickstart your mojo for the year.
Happy crafting.

Dad's Card 2024

Today I have a quick share.

It is my Dad's birthday this month and I always make him an extra special card as he appreciates the time and thought that goes into making a handmade card.

As he was born in England I figured this year that would be my theme. Plus I grew up with him playing the music from these characters.  Big fan myself.

I was in such a hurry to take a photo of this that I was unable to correct the slightly off kilter balance of the card....lol.  But you get the gist.
And I don't very often, if at all get to share a card I make that is not a DT one.  Thought it was about time I did.
A while back Kindred stamps had a British invasion release.  So many sets from music to movies.
I snapped up most of it I think.  Loved them all.
is the name of this set.  And because they started out in the black and white era of television that is how I coloured them.
was used to fill the top half of the card in.  That pop of colour works well with the b & w images.
A very simple card but looks great all together.
Thank you for popping in and having a squiz.
Happy crafting!
