Beat Paper December Release

Hi and welcome to another cute release from
This month we have some real cuties for you!
I went real girly and went full on PINK!

I coloured each of the girls a different colour.  Hair, eyes and complexion.  They look like they are straight out of a dance class.
I never done ballet.  I am not graceful at all...lol.
I used 2 different shades of Distress oxides to shade the boxes behind each girl.
Then I splattered water drops in various sizes and dabbed with paper towel to remove a little colour.  Really adds something special to the feel of the card.
Thank you for popping in and checking out my project.  Don't forget to pop in on FB and see what the other DT members come up with.

December APTTC

Happy December!  Welcome to may last post for A Perfect Time To Craft as a Design Team Member.

My last project is using an image from one of my favourite digi companies.

Some of us are older enough to remember these musical wonders.  Sitting on a Sunday afternoon listening to the radio and recording the top ten each week onto a blank cassette tape.  Hoping the DJ did not speak over the top of the song.  LOL.  Hehe, the good old days.
I googled some retro 70's colours and matched them the best I could with my cardstock for the background  The cassette tape is coloured using my copic markers, then cut out and popped with dimensionals.

I have been with APTTC since 2019.  Have loved every minute of it.
I have felt with life at the moment and my needs as a crafter have changed over the last year or so, that now is the right time to step down.
I am very thankful for my time with Anne and the rest of the awesome designers.
But I will still be creating and sharing, so keep an eye out.
Happy crafting!

Hinata

Time for another project for Beat Paper.

I am continuing with my projects using the Naruto set.

When you get stuck for ideas for backgrounds or layouts, it can help to google the character itself.  This one had a beautiful purple background that go from dark to light, outside to in.  Then I used the same stencil I used for the Naruto card in a pale blue.
Also the sentiment is also from the character.  So the card can be used for any reasons.  Not just for birthdays
Hope you like this project.  Go and check out Beats store.  There are awesome sets of images over there.

Beat Paper November Release

Hi and thank you for stopping by.

Today is my first  time designing for Beat Paper and her new releases.

Today i am sharing a project using 4 images from

The Fellowship

I love to make bookmarks.  So I made this cute set.  You cannot make one without the other 3.
I will take you through the step by step on how I coloured and made the bookmarks.

All codes are for Copics markers.  My marker of choice!

Now for the bookmarks.  I love using Oxide inks on water colour paper.

Firstly need to trim down the die cut bookmark.  It is an older MFT one.

Next I wipe some oxide ink onto plastic laminate.

Then spritz a little water on it.

Place the bookmark face down. Do this until you get the coverage you want.

This is how my first one turned out.

Each one comes out differently.  Every one is unique.

Then diecut out coloured card stock and adhere each front panel onto them.

The last one shows I added some ribbon and string to finish them off.

Thank you for joining me on my little crafting adventure.  Catch you next time.
Happy crafting!

APTTC November

A Perfect Time To Craft  time again.

One of our great sponsors this month is Beat Paper
And the image I chose is from an awesome set

I chose the main character but will be doing colour codes for all the images from this set..

The background on the card took me forever.  I mask off each colour band and used various shades of blue to give it the anime feel.  Grabbed a stencil from my stash and made the hazy smoke like image behind him.

The sentiment was done using Word document  I even downloaded a free font that matches this theme.

Thank you for popping in.  Don't forget to play along with our challenge for your chance to win!

The Queen

Today I get to finally share my card I made when the Queen sadly passed away.

I decided to keep this card for the card class I teach as I thought it was cute.

I used a freebie image of the corgi from Stampanniething, and the Queen image is from

Kindred Stamps Travel set (limited editions)

I made multiple of these with 2 different sentiments.  That Union Jack die, also from Kindred Stamps,

And when I line these up it reminded me of the streets lined with the flags along the street with the Palace in the background.
Colours I used with my copic markers were
Queen
Crown YR23 Y15 Y11
Hair C3 C1
Dress C5 C3 C1
YR23 Y15 Y11
Sash B37 B14 B06
Skin E00 E21 E95
Corgi
C3
E37 E35 E31

I did add some wink of stella onto her dress, shoes and crown, but as usual it does not photograph well.

#711

Finally found some time to play along this week.  And, again, I have gone with the Christmas theme.

I made this card for one of the classes I teach.  I have used a Pink and Main stamp set called
Beachy Christmas.
Kept the traditional colours for the theme and added the yellow to symbolize the sun.  I did cut the palm tree into 2 pieces so it extended above the circle/polaroid motif.
I did add the little present holding crab for a little fun element.
Over here in Australia our Christmas's are smack bang in the middle of summer.  We love when we can make summer feeling Xmas cards instead wintery ones as this suits us better.  I am sure I will be making more using this set.
I think I will make a few more of these to add to my stall.  You can always PM me on Facebook for any purchases (if you don't have time to make them yourself! )
Happy crafting!

Penny time again.  And this time, I got to play with an image from
and it is called

HARVEST BESTIES DOLL 24

Love how this turned out.  As we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia I thought I would add this cutie to my diary.
I love these country colours so much.  And jeans blue is my favourite combo.  This girl is in the place where I currently like to be....in garden.

Koala-ified

Hi!  I am back with another project for Digi Doodle Studios

Each month I get to choose any image from the shop.  This time around I chose to use an image I actually bought.

Koala - ified is a group of images and being an Aussie, I love using them! There are many said sets in the Pairable section under Digi images.

And who would not like to receive a koala for a baby card.

Love making pop up cards and this is just perfect for this little guy to be hanging out in his tree in one.
Honestly they are easy to colour.  And I love working in grey scale.  I used my T numbered Copic markers.

Note - you will have to be quick to grab Digi Doodle Images as they are closing their site at the end of October to concentrate on their physical stamps.
So don't dily daly.
Happy crafting!

APTTC September

We have two sponsors this month.  I got to work with

And here is my project using Bauble Gnome

I went a little textural with this one.  Grabbed what textures I had in my stash and just randomly added them to the 2 corners in different colours.  Santa is just hanging out in between showing you his bauble.  LOL

I really love Connie's images.  They are clean, simple and cute as.

Don't forget to play along with us on the challenge page.  Check us out on facebook and check out Connie Fong's FB and Etsy shop.  You won't regret (but your bank balance might...hehe.

Sienna Photographer

Digi Doodle Studio time again!

This month I went with something that would challenge me.  I normally like to use images that I get inspiration from straight away.  I have mojo issues sometimes when it comes to people images.  Especially with specific themes or actions.

So I chose to use Siena Photographer

I imagined she was out and about, taking photo's and loving it.  In the park, beside a pond, photographing awesome shaped clouds.  Then I brought the rainbow to her.  Using classic colours for her outfit it all fell into place.
The black and white sentiment really pops with all the colours behind it.  And to add a little something I adhered cleared sequins on each colour of the rainbow.
Thank you for popping by.
Don't forget to play along with our challenges each month on the Facebook page.

APTTC August

This months sponsor is

And I was lucky enough to choose my image.  And Christmas is totally on my mind right now.

And I totally made him swing!!!
Using a set of Rectangular dies I cut the front out with the smaller one and then cut a border of silver glitter card with the smaller one and then the next size up.  This acts as a border around the die cut hole in the front of card.  Just makes it look nice and tidy while adding a bit of bling at the same time.

I coloured the Sanat image in and then fussy cut it out.  Adhered this to some clear acetate.  When cutting this again again I left strips above the rope so I could slip that in between the card front and the patterned paper.  Makes the finished product nice and neat and the ropes not not hanging out anywhere.

So when you stand the card up a little breeze will make him move slightly.  Totally lives up to his name.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Swinging Santa.  Don't forget to play along with the challenge for your chance to win!

#706

Been a good while since I have played along with one of our sketches.
I have been so busy with prep for our local Pop Culture event that I fell away from here.

Well I am back!  And this was a great sketch to step back with.

#706
And here is my interpretation.

I went straight to a set that at least 5 characters in it.
Two sets actually.  Pick and chose who to use.
and
From

I even consulted my youngest daughter on which characters to colour for this one.  So it was a family effort.
I am still working through all my sets and the colour codes with my Copics.  I will share, just want to get a few more done before taking photo's to share.
Don't forget to play along with us. We have fun looking at all the entries.
Happy crafting.

Buster St Bernard Christmas Puppy

Time again,to share my Guest DT project.
This month I chose to use the cute little image of

Getting my Christmas on once again.  This time I went for a full rainbow line up!

So not your normal colour combo's for Christmas but I think that that is half the fun of these.
Looking at the line up I really think pink is missing.  Not a rainbow colour but still would have looked great.
These are awesome to encourage young kids to read over the Christmas break.  They get to choose their favourite colour and use it everyday.  Win, win!
And as an added bonus, as this image is a digital one you can resize it for anything.  So you could put it on a notebook front or sketch book for the kids to use along side their summer/ winder reading (depending on what hemisphere you are in!).
I used watercolour paper with distress oxide to do the backgrounds.  I coloured the images with copic markers and then fussy cut them out and adhered to the paper.
Thank you for joining me today.
Happy crafting!

Tabitha's Puppy Hugs

Back again with another great image from
and the image I used this month is

Tabitha's Puppy Hugs

Now my eldest girl loves little dogs, so this image was just for her.  I covered a notebook for her to carry in her handbag.  You can never have too many notebooks!
I cut a patterned piece of paper to fit the front cover.  Then printed out the picture, mounted it on some darker grey cardstock to fit with the patterned paper.  Coloured the image to match the colours used.  Added a little leaf image and some clear sequins (some are hiding under the watermark! lol)
The sentiment was perfect for the "note"book cover.
Adding your own touch to something that is already made, sometimes is enough.  We don't always need to start each project from scratch.  I love covering simple notebooks.  You can customize the colour and the images to suit yourself or a recipient.
Thank you for joining me here today.  Stop by the FB group for lots more inspiration.
Happy crafting!

"Who" is having fun?

 "Who" is having fun?

ME!!!

I am currently prepping for our local Popfest at the local high school..  The students run this event as part of their course and are marked accordingly.  So I liked to think that I am helping them in my own little way by having my stall.

Here is a set of bookmarks I made using 2 of my favourite Kindred Stamp sets.

It's About Time

I Need More Space

Love making bookmarks.  Some people have no need for a card but a bookmark can always come in handy.
I will have pop up cards, normal cards, and notebooks plus a new item I am stocking that is a show surprise.
I will show more of my sets as I make them.  So thanks for stopping by.
Popfest is July 16 & 17
Happy crafting!!

Sketch Saturday #702

time again. I have not done the last couple of challenges as life got in the way, but hopefully now I can keep up with the challenges each fortnight.
Love this weeks sketch.

And here is my take on it!

Now you need to have a little think about this one.  It could either be the same actor plays both characters, before and after his trouble time of life OR it could be black and white, where movies first started to the full blown colour and special effects of today.  Take your pick!
Also the sentiment is one I made in my Word program.  The Broadway font for the left character and then the Avengers font for the right character.
The paper in the background is a poppy crafts one. Adds a real nice contrasting background.
As simple as this card is, I really like it.  I added the 2 embellishments, top left, of the left character.  I coloured the gems in read to balance the images out.
The images came from Kindred Stamps, Golden Age but the right one is from a limited edition set.  Once a year or so, they sometimes pull them out for a vault release.  Just keep your eyes open.
Thank you for dropping in on my little corner of the net.
Happy crafting!

is here again!
And sadly this is our last month.
Our sponsor for this challenge is

and the images we used are

These are really great sets from LMM.  So many images to play with.  I chose this little guy/gal.  Coloured them up in the pink and white to suit for Breast Cancer.  A little bookmark to use for your novel, or planner/diary.  Even stick a magnet on the back and put in on your fridge! The bookmark is actually a die from My Favorite Things.
Love little bears and this one is no exception.
Thank you for popping by.

Sketch Saturday time again.   I thought I might do a male card for this sketch. This is a set I bought but have never used.  My aim this ...
