Panda Chillin'

Hi everyone.  I have had a week off since I done a stall at our local Pop Culture festival.  And wasn't that a hoot!  I am seriously still riding on the high.  I had the best time.  I will share more from that later on down the track.
I am here to share my latest card using a digi image from Heartcraft Paper.
And who doesn't love Panda's!  They are so big, fluffy and so soft you just want to cuddle them.

This image is Panda Chillin' I reckon he looks just that.  Just wish I had time to lay around like that, then again who wouldn't!

I printed out the size I needed.  Coloured it using copic markers.

Panda C9 C7 C3 T1
Grass G94 G99
and sky was BG0000  you know the one with all the 0000000's lol.

Circle die cut Panda out, stamped a sentiment out using MFT stamps, cut it out leaving a white outline.  Stamped some bamboo with versamark on the SU Old Olive cardstock.  Popped circle and sentiments on using foam tape, then added some black and white twine.  Popped the green panel with all added to the right hand side of a white card front and adhered some glossy accents I had prepared earlier to the left.  And Presto!  Here is the final result.

I love the black and white theme with the pop of green.  I love simple looking cards and this one is just that.  Thanks for looking.  Till next time......

Beth Duff July Release

Hi all and welcome to Beth Duffs designs Summer release.
Today I am showcasing the set Adventures Abroad - Australia

I used my Uniquely Creative grid die to make the base of my front.  I sponged Distress Oxide Lemonade and Spruce on the front to add Aussie colours.    Then stamped most of the images onto the little square cutouts.  Coloured with my copic markers.  Split the bridge over 2 squares as it was too big for one.  Die cut out a heart and added it to the middle. I love the word "Australia "in this set.  I can see me using this a fair bit since this is where I live  And now for the reveal.

And I had to use this paper from Kaisercraft as it is distinctly Australian bark colours.

Bookworm Birthday

Today's card could possibly be for those bookworms in our lives.
Using Heartcraft  Papers latest release image once again.  This time I used Gemma.

Printed it out, coloured in a lot of regal colours (having  a library and old books in mind), then fussy cut it out and "popped" it onto card that had been sponged with ink and a stencil.  Using al old HB stamp I have then added a few clear sequins.  And presto!  You have a card for the reader in your life.

For this and other great images, don't forget to pop on over the Heartcraft Paper.  I hope you have a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.
Till next time.....

Welcome!

Hi and welcome!  Hehe.  I have been having another play with the new release from Heartcraft Paper.  Seriously I am having fun!

The advantage of using digi images you can resize what you like, but more of that later.

First step was printing out the main image.  I printed out 4 onto one piece of A4 cardstock.  That way it printed a nice size for the card.  The trick to using copic markers is to find your light source.  I am no expert, but I love to play with them.  The following photo's show the colours used.

Then came the job of fussing cutting.  Lucky I luuuuuurve to do that!  lol  No, really I do love that!

While I made the background, my little building on the rocks was having a rest.....

The background I used the Mixed media card from Tim Holtz.  My favourite for using Distress Oxides.

First layer of colour.

Second layer. But I did find it too bright so I sponged a little white over it to dull the brightness.

Now with the banner I resized the Hogwarts to match the size of the Welcome to.  Then I hand drew a banner a couple of times so I could cut them out and layer them so it looked realistic (well sort of).

Once this was done it was just a matter of sticking everything together.  I know it is a very simple card but the building on the rocks is the main feature and I didn't want to detract from that.  I am sure there is a little fan out there that would love this.   I know I would!

You can get these images from Heartcraft Paper.   I just love some of those cute images she has.  And she is adding more all the time!

Till next time.....

We Are Open!

Heartcraft Paper Challenge No.1

Hi and welcome to my first official post for Heartcraft Paper.
I am so excited to be part of this awesome DT (can you tell?  lol)  Anyhoo.  Back to business.  This is our grand opening challenge blog hop.  You will get to see what everyone has come up with.  How can you not love that!

Mine today is the ever true hearted Harold.  I will post a how to on the Distress Oxide background in a couple of days.  My camera has decided to have a tanty (tantrum).  Luckily I got the photo of my project done first.  I have only started playing with digi images the last couple of months and I have to say....I love them!  You can change the size to suit your project, you can print out as many as you like (without getting inky fingers) and just love the convenience of them.

Here is Harold in all his glory.

The card size is A6.  The cardstock for the background is Tim Holtz Mixed Media cardstock (oh I love this stuff soooooo much!).  I used Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Black Soot (yep no blue....that is the oxide illusion.. ).  And I used a cloud stencil I made to do the clouds.  I printed out the image after eyeballing the size I would need.  Coloured him and his buddy with my Copics.  And the sentiment is a Kindred Stamp image.

Harold and his little flying buddy are part of Heartcraft Papers opening release.  All links below for the store and for the blog hop.  I hope you enjoyed my little project.
Till next time......
