APTTC June

We have a new sponsor over at

  A Perfect Time To Craft

And it is

Stamper's Delight

I was very lucky to get the chance to choose the image I would like to work with.  So I scrolled through so many cute images.  And here is my choice.

Chibi Fuchsia Fairy

Isn't she just gorgeous.  I was colouring up some of my Kindred stamp images of a certain red head sidekick to a teenage wizard and loved the colours I used.  So my fairy is now a red head too.

I hope in this photo you can see the touch of glitter I added to the wings.  It really is hard to photograph that stuff.  And if you noticed I fussy cut the WHOLE image out and popped it on the background.  This was by accident.  I was going to cut out a second image and place it over the top so I could sponge around the image, but I had started cutting the wrong one out so I had to just keep going...lol.  Still I am very happy with the final result.
Don't forget to check out all the other great projects the DT have done and also why not play along for your chance to win some prizes!

#18 Two Things

                                                               Make the Cards Challenge

This weeks challenge is 2 things

This is a great challenge for making that quick card we all need.

I grabbed out an old set from my MFT stash and made a very underestimated theme of, WELCOME
to the neighbourhood.  You will notice those in Australia and the UK that the spelling is the US spelling, but that is no biggy.
The Welcome die is from Karen Burniston's latest release. The stenciled background is from die cutting out the Lawn Fawn cloud dies.
And keeping the colour scheme very simple really helps the card.

We are here today to share our projects with you for this fortnights challenge. One of our sponsors this time is

Stampers Delight

And the image I got to play with is

Anime Make Mine A Digi Stamp

Isn't she just the cutest!
Again with the red hair ( I hear you say)...lol.
Yep.  The markers were still out on my bench when I made this.  I kept this fairly simple to let the young lady pop. And I think she does, especially with that hair!  Hehe.
Please check out the other creations by our DT.  There were a few images to choose from so there is no end of inspiration.  And play along for your chance to win a prize.

#17 Colour Challenge

This weeks challenge is a Colour Challenge

These colours reminded me of pot plants.  So I grabbed out my Elizabeth Craft Planner set with these in.

And macrame plant hangers are back in style so I kept the hangers a neutral colour and used the colour challenge for everything else.
Colours I used were all Stampin'Up.  Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie.

To dull the Crushed Curry down a bit I used the matching ink and stenciled in the background.  Bricks match the potted plant theme.
Don't forget to play along with us for your chance to win. And remember to check out all the other DT projects.  They are awesome!

Back again with another great sketch from SS challenge

This sketch is me.  I just love a few simple shapes to keep it clean and simple.
So I finally got to use two sets I have bought a while ago.

One of those games the kids love (and us adults get SUS on!).  After consulting my daughter and her knowledge of this, I threw this together fairly quickly.
Sets I used I got from The Ink Road and Kindred Stamps .
The embossing folder is one I have had for years.  Some sort of diamond plate pattern.  Great for male cards.
Thank for looking and happy crafting!

This months sponsor is

Dr Digi's

And I got to choose my image and I am sticking with the animal theme this month.

Doggie Zoom

I even made my own sentiment to go with the image.  Life has been RUFF on all of us for a little while now but we are hopefully on our way to better things.
I even had the chance to have a zoom chat too.  Not necessarily my cup of tea but I am sure with practice it would become second nature.
Hope you can join us for your chance to win a prize.
Happy crafting!

#15 Beach

This weeks theme is Beach.

Revising with slight changes of an old favourite of mine for this theme.  I made this for a class I was having and I had 4 examples to sell in my stall.  As it is very them neutral for a male card it sold out very quickly.  If the man in your life does not have a hobby other than campning and fishing, then this card would be perfect.  A classic keep it simple card, the often do make for the best cards.
All the items used here are Stampin' Up.
Even the background has the pebble/sandy feel to it.  I had to put a white background behind the watermark as it  just got lost in those little stones.
Just looking at this fellow, I can almost hear those waves crashing.

Today's sketch is
Now I did a little something different with mine.  I omitted the smaller circle for a sentiment instead.

And the flourish is 2 light sabers instead.  The random dots I would class the galaxy behind them as that.
The stamp set used is Galactic Fighters from Kindred Stamps March release.  There were 2 sets released in this them that month.  The other is Galactic Sidekicks
This month they released another 2
and
Over the next week or so (definitely the or so going by my work load) I will be doing the colour combo's for this set.  I am aiming to do one or two sets every week after that.  Fingers crossed!
Happy crafting!

#140 Bugaboo

We are back with another great month of challenges.  This month I got to play with Bugaboo's image

I honestly don't do many dog cards (and I am thinking now I should!) The theme we had to go by was use ribbon.  I had totally forgotten when creating, so I slipped in some black ribbon folded over and tucked under the main image.  Noone would know unless I told them, that it should not be there.  Whoops!   lol

Koopa and Troopa

Back again for another guest DT appearance with

Digi Doodle Studios

My choice of image this month is this gorgeous little duo

 Koopa and Troopa Sea Turtles

Again keeping it clean and simple.  I coloured this cuties in tropical colours.  The background is a designer paper from Stampin Up's Sale A Bration.  I usded a water stencil at the top in a lighter shade of ink and stamped the seaweed in the true colour of the background to darken the picture to give it depth.
Threw on a couple of hearts and a sentiment that matched the picture and voila!  You have a cute project to give someone to let them know you care.
Don't forget to check out all the cute images that Digi Doodle Studios has to offer.

#125

Our latest challenge is up and running over at CCC Digi Creations
This months sponsor is
And the image I got to play with was

Our theme this month was Sparkly/shine.  The with branch is out of diamond glimmer paper.  I have such trouble taking photo's of glitter, so I do apologize.
I went really messy with the colouring of the hair as she has such a full head of hair.  I am so jealous!
Don't forget to play along with us over at the challenge blog.  We love to see what you come up with.

#14

We are back this week with a new challenge.

What a mixed bag right?  So I have probably got more than this on mine but I definitely hit the brief.

3 x Embellishments.

The big floral heart

  The flowers on said heart

A glimmer border on each panel (a little hard to see in photo)

2 x Die cuts

The wedding couple

The "Wedding Day" sentiment

1 x stamped image

The flowers are stamped and layered.

Each panel has a background stamp on it but we can pretend that is is patterned paper....hehe.

This was a customer request.  But I loved it so much I am using it for the challenge.

Don't forget to play along for your chance to be a Guest DT with us on a future challenge.

Happy crafting.

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
