Crafty Christmas Club - May Editioin

Welcome back to another great Christmas inspiration blog hop with the Crafty Christmas Club.

This month I have done something a little different. I am currently going through my stamps and inking up sets that have never seen the light of day.  I also challenged myself to use a set that is not a designated Christmas theme, to actually make a Christmas card.
Paper Roses' Gnomie set was just that set.  It was made a lot easier by the fact they look like little Santa's.

Are they not the cutest things!!  The "hey gnomie" is from this same set but the Merry Christmas is from an Avery Elle set North Pole Pals.
I diecut a rectangular frame and used Oxide inks Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn for the shaded background.
I love this clean and simple card so much. Would be perfect if you were making a few of them (as long as you love to colour in!)

Here is the list of the other great crafter's participating.  Go ahead and check them out!

ME!!!!

You will notice a few new names on the list. The excitement of Christmas is getting people crafting and sharing.  Thanks for popping by!

Sketch #611

Sketch Saturday is back!

Time flies when you are having fun in the craft room.  Our usual sponsor Riley and Company is back.  Pop on over to the Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog for more details on how you could win a prize and see the other DT members projects for some inspiration.

I opted to not add the little extra something in the bottom right in the green section.  And the ribbon element is now a leaf.

I love this little fellow.  I didn't watch this movie until we got Disney plus and the daughter wanted someone to watch it with.  Cheeky little thing he is!

Family is Forever  is the set from Kindred Stamps.  The florals are from an Aussie company Uniquely Creative and the set is  Tropicana stamp and matching dies
All are coloured with Copic markers.
The background is my Broken China Oxide on watercolour cardstock.
Throw on a couple of gems and a sentiment to finish.

Don't forget to play along for your chance to win.

Father's Day

Welcome back to another great week for Spring Celebrations blog hop.

This week our theme is Father's Day.  Here in Australia it is not until September which now means I am well ahead on my card making!  Excellent and unheard of!  lol

My father and I have similar likes.  Adventure themes, Sci fi etc.  So I pulled out an old set from Kindred Stamps ,  It was a limited edition stamp set they brought back at the beginning of the year (but that was the last time....boohooo)You're Super Set.
I also paired it with a stamp set from The Ink Road "Heroes Vol 1", for the sentiment and the watermark image is from "Full Circle Vol 3 Heroes".  The watermark image is done by heat embossing white embossing powder.  A little extra hint of something in the project.

The background I used my Distress Oxide Inks, Broken China and Hickory Smoke.  Cardstock used was Tim Holtz Watercolour cardstock and Stampin Up Smoky Slate and Real Red.
A CAS (clean and simple) card that lets the character pop on such a cool background.
Here is the list of some awesome crafters who are playing along this week.  Check out their projects for some Father's Day inspiration.

Graduation

We're baaack!  Another great week of blog hops for hour Spring Celebrations 2020.
This weeks theme is Graduations, Babies Weddings

Now I do have all 3 made but do you think for the life of me I can find the graduation one?  Nope!
So I am just going to share the baby themed cards.  One blue, one pink and one cream.

These are my baby themed pop up cards I sell in my stall.  The last one is gender neutral for those that want a special baby pop up card but do not know what the gender is.  I love coming up with different ideas for pop ups.  They really are that something extra.

The stamp set used was Mama Elephant Wish Upon A Star.

Here are the links to all the other bloggers playing along this week.

Sketch Saturday #609

Wow!  That week went quick.
Today's sketch is  #609

Loved this sketch.  But I did tweak it a little.  I turned it on its side.  And used flowers in both corners and not the half circle.

This will come in handy this weekend.  I have made two.  One for my mum and one for my mother in law.  I am not accustom to using pastels very often but this was definitely called for with this one.

The alpha stamp is from The Ton and the lace is from an older paper pack from Stampin'Up.  The flowers were just random punches I have in a draw.

I you want to see other DT members projects and challenge entries using this sketch pop on over to
Sketch Saturday.
Maybe even play along yourself for your chance to win a prize!
Thanks for looking.

Appreciation Day

Teacher Apreciation Day.

That is this weeks theme for our blog hop.  One of the front line workers here in Australia that have kept our kids education going.  Even if it has been remotely. (Luckily I am not their permanent replacement...lol)

I dug deep for an old stencil I got once from Splitcoasters

A real life little backpack replica.  Can be filled with your choice of sweets.  And the little pocket in front could house a thank you card for the recipient.  The teacher stamp is from MFT.  You can also get a male teacher stamp if you prefer.
A great gift idea and an great way to use up any old DSP you have.  Win, win!!

Now for the blog hop.  There are some awesome projects shared that you won't want to miss.

Sloth Hugs

Today I get to play along again with the

This week is sketch #608

I done a little something different this time around. For my project I used mostly dies.  Very little colouring was involved with this one, which means anyone can do it.
It would make a fairly quick card, (once you work out the initial design)

I used quite a few different dies.  The grey frame and heart are from MFT Blueprints 29 ( I love their blueprints so much but they have discontinued most of them).
The sentiment is from Taylored Expression.  The Sloths and tree branches and leaves are from Mama Elephant.  Finally used them for the first time.  Big tick on the "Use stamps and dies I have not used yet" goal list.

If you visit
and play along you have the chance to win fro the sponsor.

Thanks for taking the time to visit me.

The North Pole

I am sharing another project today while being a part of the DT for
A Perfect Time To Craft blog challenge.

This month we had 2 sponsors.  The Artsy Stamper and Fred She Said

I went with a winter theme.  Us Aussies are just starting to get our cooler weather on.  Where I am gets no snow but gets cold enough!  lol.  The image I am playing with is the

You get a whole lot of images in the set.  I have used quite a few on this card front.  The tree, the sign, the writing and the little cheeky fellow peeking from behind the tree. A little hard to tell but the sentiment is popped to add some dimension.  If you would like to play along you will have yourself a chance to win a prize!
Head on over to the challenge blog via the link at the top of the post.
Good luck and hope to see you on the winners podium!

Mothers Day

Today is our blog hop featuring Mother's Day projects.  If you haven't made yours yet then this gives you a week to get inspired.

Mine started out as a one card project.  But then, I could not help but do some different colour combinations.  I love looking at these all together.

I just love this heel with the flower.  This stamp set is from Ink On 3.  It is called Heels to You.  Now the make up on is a Simon Says Stamp Set called Wake Up and Make Up.  I bought it a while back in preparation for Mothers Day.  And mashing the two sets together just makes sense!  The senitment is from the make up set and it also comes with others.  The stenciled background is I think from My Favourite Things and oxide inks.

Get ready to hop!
