Putting My Supplies To Good Use

Finally!  The countdown is on.  I have been stocking up on my pop culture stamp sets to make some cool projects.  As it will be my first time out I didn't go too crazy, ok yeah I did!  Using one of my favourite stamp companies, Kindred Stamps, I have some unique creations to sell.  Better go as I still have a lot of work to do.
Until next time......

Little Aussie Trio

I'm baaaaack!  LOL Told you I was going to be sharing a bit more often.  Todays share is from Beth Duff Designs .  It is one of the many digital sets she has.  This one is Australia.  And since I live here I thought I would have some fun with this one.

First I printed off the images needed.  I did end up printing 2 more of just the koala so I could colour the leaves and cut them out to use on the other 2 cards.

The square frame is from Memory Box.  The bokeh background is actually an old SU paper (I know I cheated!  Hehe).  I did pop the sentiments (Clearly Besotted) and the patterned paper.  When I say pop I mean I used foam mount tape.  Pop sounds so much better than "now use your foam mount tape" lol.

The card bases are 3" square.  So little notecards for just that little something extra.  I sponged some blue ink onto white card to use as a background.  The frame and the card are SU Crumb Cake.  Very Australian colour combo I reckon.

And here is the final result.  A trio of cuties.  Will make cute gift cards for some presents I think.  I have also shared this blog post over on Beth''s blog also. So now there is no reason not to see these cuties...lol.

Till next time......

My first Ink Road Stamp

Hello!  I am back from the depths of my craft room.  I didn't realize I had not blogged in so long.  I have been very busy creating behind the scenes on a few different projects.  Hopefully, now, I will have some time to start sharing all my makes.

I am so excited to share with you 3 projects I have made using my very first set from  Ink Road Stamps or if you are in Australia (like me!) you can order yours through Dawn Lewis    This set is called The One With All The Stamps.  I had some fun with this one.  It is an ode to a certain tv show that was popular a few years back.  I wonder if you can tell from the projects which one it was.

This first project is my favourite.  And I am sure this looks familiar to you in some way.  I downloaded a font that matched the title of the show and changed it up so the word suited my project (great tip you don't have just the right font in your stamp stash).  Without actually removing any stamps from the packaging I inked up all the sentiments with versamark and took my grey cardstock to the stamp (rather than the other way around).  Leaves a softer look (which I like), than bold patterned papers.   Coloured the "couch" the right colour ( I done my research lol) and stamped out a simple b'day sentiment for underneath. That is card No.1.

Had a little play with my oxide inks (once again).  Salty Ocean I believe.  Using a small alpha die set I die cut out the I's and Y O U and also die cut some hearts out of red card.  Stamped out the images from the stamp set.  Coloured and cut out then just adhered the lot to the front of the card.  If you look at the mugs and watch the show you will see they match!  I know!  I really do thorough research...lol.  That is card No.2

And for my last project I made a trio of cards.  It may be a little hard to tell from the picture but the purple rectangle in the middle of the card is actually recessed.  I tried to just keep it simple and make the sentiments and images the focal point.  Please tell me you can tell which show it is. I ran with the purple and yellow theme due to the bottom card being part of the set (seriously have you guessed yet?  LOL ) Considering I have had my stamp set less than 24hours I think I did well (I hope so!).

I plan on getting more of these Ink Road Stamps.  They are unique and quirky.  Just like me!  :-)

Till next time.......
