APTTC May

We are back with Fred She Said as our sponsors this month.
And I got to play with come really cute hummingbirds this month.

I even googled hummingbirds for a colour reference.  I found a beautiful canvas that had some bright colours, so I used that to base my birds on.

I think I have found my new favourite bird.  They are so cute!  I honestly didn't use any certain flower for my colour choice.  I just went bright.  So I apologies to my little birds if this is not their food choice....hehe.

Don't forget to play along with us this month for your chance to win a prize.

Happy crafthing.

is one of our great sponsors this month.  I was lucky enough to work with this quirky image

This is such a cool image.  How many ladies out there wouldn't love to use this for a "knitting" friend?  A few I bet.  And really there is not much else you need for this one. The laughing ladies are the focus so I kept the background as simple as possible.

April Christmas

Don't panic!  We still have a long way to go until Christmas (be here before you know it!)
Today I am sharing with you a card I recently made for a class.
We are making one Christmas card a month, that way by the time it rolls around we will have enough projects in our stash and there will be no need to panic.

A little angel set from Pink and Main.  I don't have any in my huge stash of stamps so when I seen this one I grabbed it.  Handy for many, many themes, both happy and sad.  This one is a simple.
A little blending here, some stencil work and a little colouring in there.  And the angels are so quick and easy to colour in.
The PEACE is actually an alpha set from

and I cut it out of some glimmer card stock (hard to see it in the photo).  It added just the right amount of bling to make it seasonal.

Glad you stopped by.

Back again with another great sketch over at

And here is my version.

I love these little yellow fellows. Unfortunately they are part of a Limited edition box from
so they are unable to be purchased at this time.  You never know if they might bring them back in a vault release.  Fingers crossed!
They make cardmaking very easy.  I used a banner across the middle instead of the rectangle shape.  Does the same job though.

#13

This week we have something a little different for you.

We are joining forces with Double Trouble Challenges.  This challenge will run for 2 weeks instead of our usual 1 week.  So gives you plenty of time to be inspired.
Add flowers and/or use the colours provided.

And now, for my project. Hee hee!

I stayed very much in the theme in all aspects.  Colours, flowers AND the little character used above in the challenge promo.  Are they not the cutest!!

I took SU cardstock, Coastal Cabana, Purple Posy, Balmy Blue and Magenta Madness.  Through in the larger hat - ed cat in the background and coloured the little ones as close to matching as possible with my Copics.

The characters are a set from Kindred Stamps called Out of the Bag .  So many "Things" can be done with the sit.  Cannot wait to play with it a little more.

Don't forget to play along with the challenge for your chance to guest DT with us awesome ladies!  LOL It really is a fun team to be on.

Happy crafting.

Back again with another great sponsor over at Penny's.

This challenge I got to work with LeAnn's World 101/

Image is

Rocky and Renae

Looks like Spring where these 2 are.  Oh to be outside without a care.  The gingham in the background kind of reminds me of a picnic blanket, don't you reckon?  That was a very happy coincidence.

Now with the character on the left I reckon it could be a boy or girl but I coloured it so it is up to the viewer.  You can choose.  And I done the jumpsuit on the right.  I thought of pretty in pink.

Thought on some flowers and a sentiment and there you have it. If you would like to play along with us, please do.  There are prizes up for grabs.

Happy crafting!

This weeks challenge is Butterflies!
Once upon a time....most of my cards I taught a class would have a butterfly on.  Well, sort of.  If any of the ladies made a mistake we would die cut a little butterfly and cover that mistake right up.  Worked a treat. lol.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I made a card with a butterfly on it.  So I dived into my stash looking for this set, Avery Elle I think?  I have had it so long I honestly do not remember.

The trellis die is one I have in my stash but never recorded the company I bought it from...Darn it!
The cursive writing and greenery are a SU set called Very Versailles set.  The sentiment is from the Taylored Expression set.

Slim Line Fun

Wow!  This is me sharing a second card for absolutely no reason, except for, simply, I can.  I got a little time in the craftroom to play.

I am sharing with you today my latest crafting purchase/obsession.

Slim Line Dies

And in Australia we have our very own home grown company with their very own line of dies.

Today, I share with you a project I made using

Gum Leaf Slim Line Die

Stitched Rectangles

Slim Line Card and Envelope (10pk) (very reasonably priced!)

Gums and Roses stamp

Gum Leaves (the original one I used has been retired but this is close)

The colouring is very simple.  You don't need too much else with this.  I just love that they have Aussie images for us to use.  Cannot get enough of these.  Will have to try and make a few more.
These will be available in my market stall or upon request.  So stay tuned for more slim line fun in the future!
Happy crafting!

#139 Include an Animal

Another month of some great inspiration for you all is happening over at

The theme this time around is Include an animal.  So, again, I have printed off some digital images from the

I made this for my young niece.  I kept it very simple.  I just love CAS (clean and simple) cards.  They really make the main image pop! Isn't he a cutie!

This is one of 4 images available in the set.  It also comes with some sentiments.  The clouds are a set of 3 dies from Lawn Fawn.

Party Birds

Today I am sharing with you my latest project as Guest DT over at
And I was lucky enough to get the chance to work with

Our theme this month was animals. So what better way to celebrate than with some party animals....er...birds!  lol.  They were so much fun to colour and can be used for many celebrations. And I also thought putting them on a banner would be perfect. I can see a whole length of them at any party.
And don't forget one of the best things about using digital images, is you can resize for whatever size you need for the project you are doing.  I use my WORD document most of the time but there are many different programs out there that can be used.  You just need to find the perfect one for you.
If you pop on over the Facebook, join the Digi Doodle page and find the challenge for the month for your chance to win.  We would love to see what you come up with.
Happy crafting!

#11

Wow!  That last week just flew by.  We are back with another great challenge for you this week.

This one is a sketch challenge.  These take a lot of the hard work out for you.

And here is my take on it.

It has been a long time since I stamped with my Heartfelt Creations flower sets.  This is the Dogwood flower coloured in pink.  The geometric shape is from a Gina K set (the only one I own :-(.  The wood panel is also from that set.  I masked them both off when stamping.  And I placed a light blue hue in the back ground and finished off with a couple of gems randomly placed.
I had a customer ask me the other day for a belated birthday card.  Out of all the cards I have made over the years I have not one.  So I have now rectified that.  Not something I would think of doing. You have to listen to what the customers are after.
Don't forget to play along for your chance to Guest Design for us!
Happy crafting.

Birthday, Happy Birthday

Today's post is one just for me.

This project is one that I had wanted to do for a long time.  Hubby is a huge fan of James Bond (and so am I!).  When I seen this little fellow holding his weapon I jumped at the chance to use him.

Secret Agent is the stamp sets name, from Kindred Stamps

The stenciled background is black ink, and from Visible Image. Time Tunnel.

I stamped the Top Secret all over that red banner.

I used Neutral greys for his suit, E71 E74 E77 for his hair.  Skin is E00 E11 E02.  Very simple but very effective.

I hope you get a chance to do some crafting for yourself at some stage.

Happy crafting.

April CCC Digi Creations

We are back with another great month of inspiration over at CCC Digi Creations.

This month our theme is Animals.  So include any kind of animal you wish and enter for your chance to win.

Here are my little creations.

As soon as I find anything Australian I am on it!  These cute fellows are from Digi Doodle Studios from the Pairable set Koala-fied

There are 2 different images with some sentiments included.  Totally worth getting, and great value fro your money.  I coloured and cut 3 and placed on these gum leaf covered notebooks.  I cannot get enough notebooks in my life (paper obsessed much?  LOL), so I have one on my desk, one in my handbag and one on hand at my market stall.  You never know when you need to jot something down for reference later on.

Play along as we love to see what everyone comes up with.

Happy crafting!

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
