March APTTC

A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge is here again with some awesome inspiration for you.
This month we have 2 sponsors but the one I am playing with is
and the image is

As some of you would know this is another fandom card.  And the character it is based on, has very sweet scenery in her movie.  So I found some clip art that would suit.  Instead of lollipops, I made chocolate cake pops to put behind her and she is standing on a mint lolly.
Then to fill in the background I used a stencil with some oxide ink.  The sentiment is in a Disney like style and quotes the character.

David's Paper Hearts

I am back with my project for Digi Doodle Studios
using the digital image

I am still making Mother's Day cards and this one is included in that collection.
Similar to a previous post this project has a simple colour scheme.
I am sure this image may have been intended for Valentine's Day, but me over here thought it would be perfect for any young man to give to his mum.

He is such a handsome lad.  And that puppy hiding behind his leg is so cute!  Rather than just red hearts I also added some purple ones to break it up a little.  The black and white background allows all the red and the digi image to really pop!
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Don't forget you can join the Digi Doodle Studio's Facebook page for more inspiration from the design team and from fans of DDS as well.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge

is back with another fortnight of inspiration for us.
One of the sponsors this time is

Paper Nest Dolls

and the image I played with is

Dog Walker Emma

The perfect image for any young, dog loving girl/lady.
This would have to be the cutest bunch of dogs I have ever seen together.  And such a great variety too.  I used a paw background stamp I bought years ago from MFT (not sure if it is still current) and used circle dies and the hearts are from an Elizabeth Craft planner set.  I love how they have the little cutouts in them.  Breaks the red up.

Sketch Saturday time again!
Currently I am gearing up for Mother's Day.  Going to celebrate it in a big way.
Here is this challenge's sketch.

I just love red on a black and white background.  It seems to make the colour pop! So I have used it on this project.

I find the leafy green softens the overall look just a little bit.  I used SU Blessings of Home stamp and matching die.  The sentiment is from SU Flowering Tulips set.  I reckon you could do this in Bermuda Bay (teal) and even purple would look great too!
Don't forget to play along with us.  It is a simple sketch but with so many different looks.
Thank you for looking and happy crafting!

#133 CCC Digi Creations

CCC Digi Creations time again!
Our sponsor this month is a new one.

This months theme is Things With Wings

The image I am playing with today is

Burning Love - Fennick bundle

This little guy is just so cute!  Now I printed out the dragon, fire, and smoke rings and hand cut them all after I coloured them up.  That way, for me, it was easier to change the orientation of the cutie.  And this way it gave the illusion he had just flown through the smoke rings and was having a really fun time flying in the clouds ( you can just see the lightly stenciled cloud background).

I added the banner to break up the background as I found it a little boring.  Then as an after thought I cute the side of the card into a fishtail to make the card look like a larger banner.  That was perfect!

Added the sentiment and some gems and voila!  A cute little flying dragon and his smoke rings.  I did pop the smoke rings to give a 3D effect also you can see better in the picture below.

Don't forget to play along with us for you chance to win a $20 voucher to the store!!! That is an incredible prize!!

And please pop over to the DT blogs and check out their projects.

Happy crafting!

Welcome to another fortnight of inspiration with

One of our sponsors this time around is

All Dressed Up

and the image I am playing with is

Little Birdie

I decided to use a lot of bright colours this time around.  I have been in the mood to make cards for children, and lots of colour is my go to for these.
I love the fact he is holding a little card that says I Love You..  I added some die cut hearts and another sentiment as well.  Don't be afraid to add a second sentiment to add emphasis.
