#621

BELLO!!! And not that is not spelled wrong..
It is that time again.
is on again.  This week is Sketch #621

I chose to use a set I only received yesterday.  Unfortunately it was a limited edition box and no longer available.  It was from Kindred Stamps .

How do you like them bananas!  I could not wait to get my hands on this set.  One, they are a total favourite of mine.  And, two, they are so easy to colour.
My rectangle shape I made a shaker window.  I used the pattern paper that came with the LE box.  Also the sequins.  I added a little glitter to shake around too.  Love the CAS look of this one.
If you keep an eye out here or join the Facebook Kindred Stamps Fan Page , you will know when these boxes come out.

Crafty Christmas Club - July Edition

We are back for a huge week of hopping!  We have our biggest number of participants this week.

This week I played with a set that is going live in August with Stampin'Ups new Mini catalogue.
Dove of Hope bundle.
I also used the World Map dies also.

This card puts itself together.  I heat embossed the sentiment and the spots with white embossing powder.  I die cut that panel with MFT's Stitched Basics Edges die.  All the rest is with the SU dies and assembling them together and adding them to the front of the card.  The card and panel are Night Of Navy cardstock.  I used a brushed gold cardstock for the world map (notice I used the die that had Australia on it!! ).

Check out all the other beautiful projects.  We will be back the 25th of next month for another set of Christmas inspiration.

Till next time...

Chirstmas in July - Tropics

G'day and Merry Christmas!  He he.  Today's theme is as you can see above a tropical Christmas.
It is such a refreshing idea as we down in the southern hemisphere are frolicking in the sun and heading to the beach on this gift giving day.
So I pulled out my trusty themed Uniquely Creative set and set to work.
Lazy Days stamp Die  or Bundle

What I would not give to have a hammock on those hot days and tropical drink in my hand ( I think the possum drank his already...lol)

The sentiment is an old one from one of my trusty go to Stampin Up ones.  I heat embossed it silver to add a little "bling" to the card.  The baubles and glass lenses have wink of stella on them also.
A CAS (clean and simple) card at its best.
We have one other player this week for the hop.  Don't forget to check out Marcia's project.

Stay tuned, as we will be having more Christmas themed projects next week.

Sketch Saturday #619

Hi and welcome to another great challenge with

This week our sketch is #619

I have been wanting to use sets, in my collection, that have never seen ink before.  This week I used another great Kindred Stamps set Lifesavers.
Mine is slightly different to the rest of the team.  I sponged lightly the square shapes., to give a subtle effect.

I am still doing my little sketch books with the colour codes to all the sets. But I will admit, it is taking me longer than I thought it would, but I am getting there.

Christmas in July - Cute Critters

Welcome to another great week of inspiration.
This weeks theme is Cute Critters.  Now living in Australia we have quite a few of these to choose from.  I could not stop with just one.

These stamps from Uniquely Creative are amongst my favourite of all time.  It is so hard to find great Aussie themed ones.  There are more now than there used to which is great.

Good On ya Stamp   and matching Dies .  The baubles are from Aussie Christmas stamp
and the Matching Dies  The branch is from a retired set but they do have something similar Gum Leave Branch

Only a short list this week.  Most of our team had a lot of other commitments so be sure to stay tuned for more inspiration next week!

Christmas in July - Mass Production

Hi Everyone!  Welcome back to another great month of inspiration from the Crafty Festival of Christmas Crew.
It is Christmas in July this month.  We have a weekly hop consisting of a few different themes.
This week is Mass Production.  This is something I love to do.  Must have something to do with selling my cards at local markets.  Do a large batch of images and save the leftover images for another time.

Here is my inspirational project.

This project was inspired by Dora's Corner.  I loved the simplicity of just different leaves being used to make a wreath.
I used Stampin Up's Forever Fern Bundle, some old pincone charms and and old sentiment I have had for many years.  I will be making a few of these as it is fairly quick and simple.

Don't forget to check out the other lovely creations on offer.

Join us next week as I am sure a few of you will love the theme we have in store for you.  See you then!

Sketch Saturday #617

Welcome to another great week with

We are up to #617.  That is a lot of sketches for you to choose from.

I thought about this one a little too long I think...lol.  Sometimes we just cannot do what is being asked, not because the sketch is hard, but my mind just was not in the mood I think.
So I did take a little artistic license with this one.  You are more than welcome to do that.  Change it a bit to make it your own.

I got my Kindred Stamps on again.  Finally!   The set I used today is Space Explorers .
I love this character so much.  Mainly because he is easy to colour.

I did take out the square from the sketch and replaced it with the character and I added a sentiment.  Removed the scallop border top and bottom as it would not suit this theme.
All in all, I am happy how this turned out.

Peace Love Joy Angel

It is that time again.  This month we have a our fabulous sponsor

The image I requested to use was a Christmas themed one.

Doesn't hurt to get ahead on those Christmas cards now!  No rushing for me come October//November.  Whoohoo!

A nice way to break the normal matting of a card is to twist them so they are off kilter.  I played a little with this then realized I need another colour to break it up a little.  The stencil I used is Altenew (I think) and not a Christmas themed one but adding to the background was just what was needed.

Coloured with Copic markers, Stencil with Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn
Cardstock is Stampin Up Bumble Bee and Real Red.
white cardstock (your choice!)

For your chance to win a prize from our sponsor this month why not play along and take a chance.  You just never know you may be a favourite.
