Wild Rose Heart

Hi and welcome to another blog challenge with A Perfect Time To Create

This months sponsor is Sheepski Designs

I was lucky enough to get a very cool design to work with.  I also thought I should do a little something different, so I done a double spread page for my planner.  Very striking and it really pops off the page.

I got to use Wild Rose Heart

The only thing I would do different is to colour it before I cut the planner pieces out.  Made it a little fun.  You could always add some sentiments around the place for how you feel etc.  I think I will leave this as it is.
A project totally different from the norm but really happy how it turned out.
Don't forget to play along for your chance to win.  You could be chosen as a fav!
Happy crafting.

#394 Flashback

Welcome to another great
blog challenge

This week is the 5th Saturday for the month so we get to go back over previous sketches and choose one to work with.

This one is from 2016.  Looking back now, the good old days...lol.

I kept the main part of the sketch which was the stars and the diagonal line at the bottom. But I added the top one to match as I felt the card was missing something.  Had to add the 6th character, otherwise it was not a complete set.  Kept the sentiment very simple.
I am creating using my Kindred Stamps a fair bit over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
I have the annual local Pop culture/ Fandom event for this year.  Delayed by 2 months and only a one day event, but still going ahead.  So I have to make some new projects to satisfy the hoards....lol.
Thank you for popping into my little part of the cyber world.  Don't forget to play along for your chance to win.
Have a great crafty day.

New Starts

Fall is near, and we are all itching to start creating all the things! There is just something magical and inspiring with a fresh, clean slate. Fresh starts is the theme, and it can be interpreted many ways. School, sports, new season, new jobs, retirement, babies, weddings, new foods, new hobbies.... hell- new stamps! I bet you have a project made already that you can use.

Me, I chose a new stamp set I just had to have.

This is from the Stampin Up catalogue.  Celebrate Sunflowers.  A gorgeous set.  I am a sucker for these bright flowers.
On this project I only stamped out 1 large and 2 small flowers.  Die cut them using the matching dies and coloured them up.  Then cut each one into 2.  This gives the illusion of more flowers than you actually have.

'We have a few others playing along this time.
Here is the blog roll for this event.

Crafty Christmas Club - August Edition

We are back for another great  month of Christmas inspiration.
I have gone a little different.  This started out as a red and gold project but I just could not get it right.  So I tried a few different colour combo's.  I ended up going monochromatic.  The photo does not do it justice.

Cardstock is SU Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.  I silver embossed the Hero Arts background flourish and the dove is also embossed.  It is from the Dove set in Stampin Ups holiday Catalogue.  Through on a few gems and there you have it.  A silver/grey Christmas card.  Very quick to put together once you settle on the design.

Here is our very long list this month of our other amazing crafters and their projects.

Be sure to join us again on the 25th of next month for more inspiration.  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

#623

Another great week with

This week is #623.

I again used my Limited Edition set from

I kept the background behind the stripes muted so they could pop.  I used the blue and yellow to represent some of the characters from the same set.  I printed the sentiment on using my printer that way I could custom make it. The Happy Birthday is from an old set I had in my stash.  I used the Altenew moon behind my character.

Thanks for looking!

Just For Fun

Today's post is just for fun.

I have been playing a bit more with my Limited Edition Bananas Box (sold out) from Kindred Stamps
This is such a fun set to use.  And of course, I had to make some Pop Up Box cards.  I managed to make two different ones.

This one is fairly a quick make.  Due to the characters being simple colour pallettes.  And not too intricate to cut out.  This is just your average pop up box and the pattern is readily available on the internet.  I did alter mine to fit a standard envelope.

And one with all the characters on it.  I used the Carnival scene die that came with the set on the bottom of the box.  Seriously, the quality of this die is fantastic.
I will be sharing more projects using this set of the next few weeks.  While I am keen and having so much why not?  LOL
I really should post more projects I make for fun.
I will endeavour to do that in the coming months.

The image I was able to choose was

Really this image just needs you to keep it simple.  Add a sentiment and some flowers and that is it.  The card makes itself.  So handy to have images like this for that quick card we need when we forget a birthday....hehe.  Admit it, we have all been there!
