#671

Welcome to another great week of inspiration from our Sketch Saturday DT.

We are lucky enough this week to scan the archives for a sketch to play with. I found mine from 2019.

Now I know I do not have any baby cards in my stash, so I though this sketch would be perfect for that.  I sued the Koala from Star Jam Lines Digital shop on Etsy.

Works perfect for both colour schemes.  And I am thinking of even doing a green version so I can have a gender neutral card incase I run out of one of the colours.  Win, win!
The dot patterned paper is from the new Stampin'Up Sale a Bration catalogue.  You can never have enough of black and white papers as any colour can be used with them.
This is an image I honestly have been hanging out to use.  Being an Aussie, I love when I can find cute Aussie animal images.
Stay safe and happy crafting.

APTTC August

We are back with our sponsor craftsUprint this month.  They provide a crafter with a quick and easy way to make your projects.

My set this month is Merry Christmas Gnomes

The great thing about these sets is everything is done for you.  You just print, trim and put together.  A very quick project.  It even gives you a second set of images on the one page so you can pop up the image to give the card dimension.  Genius!  The corner florals are popped too. The only thing not included in this one is the sentiment. That was from an old Stampin'Up set.

Don't forget to play along for your chance to win a prize.  \

Happy crafting.

TheArtsystamperShop Is our fantastic sponsor for this fortnight.

Fall Flowers Stamp is the image I had the pleasure of playing with

As you can see I add the flower twice on the card.  In both corners to frame the sentiment from this image.  Such a lovely flower to use.  I went with the pretty in pink combo to totally glam this up.
A perfect CAS project.  Throw on some glossy accents to finish.
Play along with us for your chance to win, and don't forget to check out the hard work our DT have done with their projects.
Happy crafting.

#142 Christmas in July

We are back with another great challenge for you this month.
Christmas in July.
Great idea to get ahead for the silly season. This months sponsor is

And I got to use this cute image

When I coloured this I am not sure Robins were in my mind.  But I knew the colours I wanted to use to match the papers.  You could colour them any colour you like.  Like a blue and silver theme would go great with these birds too.  Your options are endless.
I made up some poinsettias, and placed them in opposing corners.  Another great image that lends itself to a CAS style card.  The image does the work, not the crafter.
This would look awesome on a slimline card.  I may keep that idea for later in the year.
Don't forget to play along and check out all the DT projects.  They are awesome!
Happy crafting.

Back again with another project for Penny's
This fortnights sponsor is

and the image I was lucky enough to use was

Fuchsia Flower

I honestly don't know why I don't colour more flowers for cards.  This turned out so pretty.
Copic markers BV 17 , BV13, BV11, V12 and V15 make the purples pop and RV17, RV19, RV29 and RV63 round out the pinks on this project.
I kept the card simple so the flowers could do their thing.
I never had much luck growing fuschia's.  They don't like our humid climate.  May try again one day.  But for now, those plants are better in someone else's hands...lol.
Don't forget to check out all the other DT's fantastic projects and play along for your chance to win.
Happy crafting!

Santa Gnome

 Happy Christmas in July!!!

That's right.  I am getting in early this year folks.  No rest for the wicked when there is crafting to be had.

My mission this year was to try and stay ahead of the game when it came to Christmas cards.  And so far, a huge tick for me!

Today I am sharing a fairly simple card but it looks so good.  I used

Santa Gnome

from Digi Doodle Studios.

I made a full sized card using only the Santa image.

Love the rich reds with the green plant behind him.  And having this digital image means I can resize him as large or as small as I like.  I reckon he would look great on my Christmas display in my stall.  What do you reckon?

I even popped the holly by printing an extra one to colour and add on for a little dimensional fun.

I even put his pants on inside the card....hehe.

And I add wink of stella to all cuffs and the fluff around his hat and pom pom.  Hard to tell in the photo but I did try my best....lol.
Thank you for dropping by and having a look at my project today.  I hope you are doing your best to prepare for the silly season.
Happy crafing!

Today is a little sad for me.  This will be my last post as a DT member for this challenge.  I have had a wonderful 6 months with this fantastic group of crafters.  Each week we have brought you a new challenge, and I love how each week is different.  Mixing it up keeps from getting dull. I do plan on playing along with them as the challenge continues.  Will be exciting to see the challenge from the outside...hehe.

Without further ado, this weeks challenge is a sketch one.

Nice and simple.  And these are the ones that make a quick card when you are all out of mojo!

This came in handy this week.  I am preparing for our local Pop Fest, where I will have a stall filled with all kids of fandom themes.  This one is close to my heart
I bought my stamps from Kindred Stamps;

The paper was something in my stash I had saved from a magazine that had free patterned paper inside.  It pays to keep them!

I wish all the DT continuing and all the new members all the best in their crafting endeavour's..  It has been a real pleasure to craft along side of you all.
Don't forget to play along for your chance to Guest DT!
Happy crafting!

Sketch #667

I am back with another sketch challenge from SS.

Now I will admit this one was a more than a normal challenge, but with a little thinking outside the box I got there in the end.

I used The Sassy Club's Mando set.  Such cute images of this cute green alien.  The helmet comes from a full size image of the Mando character but I just used it in place of the flower.  The only thing I added on top of the sketch was the sentiment.  The only thing I thought was missing.  Just right for the Grogu fan, and I am sure we all know someone who would appreciate it.

Hi!  Here again with another great project using this months sponsor

                                                                      Bugaboo Stamps
And the image I had the pleasure of working with is

Boy Fishing

I imagined my son as I was colouring this young man.  He is a very keen fisherman.  Every chance he gets.  So I reckon this lad would be much the same.
Kept the layout fairly simple as the image itself is the focus for this project.  Just perfect for the young angler in the family.
Don't forget to play along with us over at Penny's challenge for your chance to win.
Happy crafting!

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
