APTTC June

A Perfect Time To Craft challenge is here again.  This month we have 2 great sponsors.
I got to work with
and the image I was lucky enough to use was
When I saw this image it made me laugh.  The mix of cuteness of Hello Kitty and the horrifying character of Freddy Nightmare!

I kind of went a little dark with this one.  I used the Tim Holtz embossing folder on silver cardstock with some black distress paint to dirty it up.  Then I used a Kindred Stamps Spooky Tree Die.  Cut it out twice and only used a part of the second one for the top corner.  Sponged on a little white ink to add a little contrast on the branches.
The sentiment is also from Kindred Stamps, The Horror  White embossed on black cardstock worded perfect for the look of this card.
Finally coloured the kitty in the appropriate colours for his character.  He looks so good!
Thanks for popping in and don't forget to play along for your chance to win a prize.

And one of our awesome sponsors is

and the image I used is

I find these images are just perfect for my planner/diary.  And in doing these images like this I can print them bigger so colouring is made a lot easier in the tiniest parts  of the image.
I was going to colour the image in the planner colours like last time but chose to use soft colours then a bright bold red for the daisies.
And the soft colours I used on her wings I used to layer in the background. Just finished it off nicely.
Thank you for stopping by.

It is that time again!

is a sponsor this time around.
And the image I got to use was

I love this image so much.  So cute.  I kept the card fairly simple  And, yes, I turned it into a baby card  Could not help myself.  I did make a baby blue version too but I liked this colour for today's share.
The vine on  either side is an old Heartfelt Creations set I had and the sentiment is a Taylored Expressions set.

Wrolin Snowboarding Gnome

I cannot believe it is that time again, for me to have some
again.
This month I chose to make a Christmas card from the image I chose.
could really be used for many themes but I am trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards and we all know someone who loves a gnome (right?).

I was originally thinking of going with 3 different sized polaroid framed pictures but it kind of had too much white on the card, so I just cute the pictures out and mounted them with some navy cardstock.  The 3 varieties in size was enough to add some interest to the project.
The sentiment's are from MFT and Altenew.  The bauble is from an old MFT set as well and the silver hollies are from a SU set.
I love this colour combo choice as well.  It is not all red in your face this Christmas.  Blues, aqua's and Purples are a great alternative.
Thank you so much for popping in and having a look.
I wish you many hours of happy crafting!

CCC DIgi Creations is back with another great challenge

We have no sponsor this month, but we do have a theme.
Food and/or Drink.
So I went food, cake in fact!

This set is an older Stampin'Up one.  You may not be able to tell but I did layer the flower bunch on to of the cake.  The dies for this wet were for sale seperately in a Sale a bration promotion (I think).
I heat embossed the one of the sentiments from this set onto black card and cut around itl  This helped it to pop.
The background I just masked off a centre positioned panel and used 2 different oxide inks blended together in the centre.  Then I spritzed some water on it and used paper towel to dab it off to leave a splatter pattern.
Play along with us for your chance of bragging rights/
Happy crafting!
