January APTTC

Welcome to a brand new year of creating!  Do you have any new years resolutions?  I have not made any solid or particular ones just to say I am going to try and focus on things (many things) a bit more this year.  Anyway I am here to kick off the New Year with another great challenge over at

and one of our great sponsors this month is

I don't think I have ever used any of these images before (I could be wrong as I have done many projects over the years) so I had a real good look at what they had to offer.
There was a time when making projects I could honestly say butterflies were always present.  Have not made many butterfly cards in recent months so I chose this image.

I  printed it in 2 different sizes, just for something a little different.  This is one of the biggest benefits of digital images, resizing!  I was going to just colour the smaller panel but in the end chose to colour it all.  I chose softer colours for this one. I wasn't going to use black for the base card, but it really made the colours pop.

Again, it is hard to tell but I did add wink of stella to the wings of the butterflies.  And it has been a long time since I used butterflies.  Once upon a time I used to use them on nearly every card.  Funny how I styles change with time and releases.

Cloud 9 Release

Welcome to my first blog hop with Digi Doodle Studios
This is their Cloud 9 release!
I was lucky enough to get this cutie!

And all I could see were clouds and rainbows.  I made a pop up card (just for something different...lol) and went sky blue to make the clouds and images pop!

The sentiment could not be anything other than rainbow colours to match the die cut behind our little angel.
I even cut out the butterfly and attached him so it looks like he is flying right beside out little man.

#511

We are back!

This weeks sponsor is
and my image is

I have wanted to play with this image for so long!! Who can resist these gorgeous little fellows.  I turned them all into Santa's little helpers.  You can turn a party image into a Christmas one very easily.
So I whipped out my red Copic markers and went to town.  Not a lot of colouring needed for this one but since they are grouped together it fills the panel very quickly.

I tried my best to get the angle right to show I added some Wink of Stella to their hats.  I kept the card very simple as I thought the crowded image was plenty for this card and the glimmer adds just that bit of bling without taking it too far.

Peyton's Painted Eggs

I am back with my GDT project this month with

Our theme is Christmas (of course) and I chose to do something a little different with

This is obviously not your run of the mill Christmas image.  And I really wanted to play with this fellow so much as he is just adorable with all his painting mess.
Very easy to switch up this non traditional image, just add the right colours and the perfect sentiment. Hard to tell in the photo but I did add gold wink of stella to the gold paint to make it shine.  Just wish glitter photographed better.
Thank you for "hopping" by and visiting my corner of the web.
