Crafty Christmas Club - December Edition

Back for our last share of the year.  Phew!  What a big year this was.  A project for each 25th of the month (so 12 projects) plus our different themes throughout the year and finishing off with a handful more of Christmas inspiration.
I don't know about you but I have found with all that has gone on this year more and more people have been sending cards this year.  which for us card makers is an awesome.  This project was actually inspired by a customer of mine.  She is 93 and still loving life.  She absolutely loves frogs.  And her carer asked me to make it for her.  I just loved how it turned off.

These are an old digital frog set I had from my Craftin Desert Diva days.  The santa hats are a random clip art I found on the internet that I coloured and cut out.  These little amphibians fit perfectly with the Christmas colours.  Hoppy, hoppy Chirstmas!
Not sure I will get a chance to share any more projects before the new year as I have taken a little time off from the craftroom to spend time with family.
We also have some other participants with us this week.  Please check out the links for their awesome projects.

If I don't then Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all and may 2021 bring you lots of creative time, good health and brighter days. Take care.

Festival Of Christmas - Quick and Simple

Welcome back for some more Christmas inspiration.
This weeks theme is as the heading says Quick and Simple.
I have done 2 examples of this.  Same design, just in 2 different colour combo's.

I am a traditional coloured girl, but this year I have really fallen for the blue and silver combo.

Very simple yet very cute.  Simply stamp a background stamp on the front.  I used the MFT set Secret Santa.  The sentiment is from The Ton.  Bold, yet elegant.  The baubles hanging from sentiment are from the MFT Holiday Penguin set (I have used this set so much.  Definitely got my moneys worth with this one).
Through on a couple of gems and voila!  Not much to it but perfect for the occasion.
Join again for next week as it is our last project for this Festival Of Christmas event.
Until then...happy crafting!

Festival Of Christmas - Appreciation Gifts

Been busy gearing up for this silly season.  Then again I guess that is what everyone else is doing too! lol

This weeks share is appreciation gifts.
What I am about to show you was what I made for my class ladies this year, in thanks for coming to my classes I run monthly.

In the current (almost over) mini Catalogue for Stampin'Up I bought the carrier and the cups to match.  Decorated them in some wrapping paper and filled them with hot chocolate and marshmallows and the other with mixed chocolates.
Just wish I had saved some for myself...hahaha!

These were so simple to decorate and looked fab when all lined up in a row.
Stay tuned for more projects leading up to Christmas.
Happy Crafting.

APTTC December

Hi and welcome to another great month of inspiration from the team over at

A Perfect Time To Craft

This months challenge is kindly sponsored by

Dr Digi

The image I chose this time around was little Christmas themed one.

Pugsley

I printed him out 2 times and coloured them all the same apart from the middle image.  He is a "faux" rudolph...lol.  Added a few presents and a sentiment ( a mix of SU ones current and retired).  The background was made with a stencil and oxide inks.

I just love this cute little furry guy.  Just perfect for the dog lover in the family this Christmas.

Happy Crafting.

Penguin V.2

I am back today to share a project that compliments yesterdays post.

So the previous project I used traditional red, green and gold.  This project I done in the baby blue white and silver.  And I have to say, I am a traditional girl through and through, but this colour combo is definitely growing on me year after year.

See!  It really is pretty. Gives a cool feel.  And here in Australia right now we could use a cool change.  We are in the middle of a heat wave.  Not pretty...hehe.
This was just a short post to share the "other"  version of my penguin pop up.
I am off now to make more of both these cards and many other cards I have on order.  I would have to say this has been the busiest year yet. And I thank all those wonderful people for supporting my crafting habit.
Happy Crafting.

Festival of Christmas 2020- All Out Christmas

Here we are.  On the countdown till that jolly, red dressed fellow visits once again.
I am up to date well and truly on my card making (makes a change) but I really should hurry up and organize presents.  Nothing like leaving it till the last minute.  Hehe.

Today I am sharing a pop up card I made using MFT Holiday Penguins.
This is one of those sets that at first glance you just know you can make it into a pop up.

Usually this is where I share the links to others blogs but this week was not a good week for most to join in.  Life just got in the way.  Fingers crossed we will have more participants in the weeks ahead.  Have yourselves a great weekend.
Happy crafting.

Crafty Christmas Club - November Edition

Whoohoo!  It is getting closer!  1month to go and counting.
My project for this month is all about the year we just had.  Not very pretty but totally fitting.

I used a mix of Taylored Expressions dies, Elizabeth Crafts die and Sassy Club stamps.

Below are the links for the others playing along today.

I hope these projects bring you some Christmas inspiration.
Happy Crafting.

#637

Is it just me> Is anyone else getting excited for Christmas?

Playing along with blog hops is a great way to fill your stash very quickly.  And this year I have made more Christmas cards than ever before.

It is

Sketch Saturday

time again.  Obviously, Christmas, was my theme for this one.

I used 2 MFT Christmas sets for this one.
Secret Santa and Holiday Penguins

You will notice in the next few weeks just how much I have used these penguins.  Seriously cannot get enough of them.
I did remove the flourish element on this one.  I found with the images I used I did not need it.  Also the sentiment has been placed in the center instead of off to the side.  Otherwise I stuck to the original sketch.
There could be some fun leading up to Christmas so stay tuned.
Happy crafting.

#635

Welcome to another great week with

Sketch Saturday

This weeks sketch is #635

I felt like doing something a little different with a Christmas card.  This one is not as straight forward.  You could use this one for those that are over this year and just want to start a fresh.  No Christmas cards but many cocktails to see you through...whoohoo!

The stamped image was one from the Picket Fence and Simon Says Stamp collab for Stamptember.

The paper is from SU (retired).  The "Bring On 2021" was done in my word document so I could print out as many as I want.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expresion.

Very busy for me but I am loving that bird of paradise in the background.

Don't forget to play along with this weeks sketch for your chance to win a prize.
Happy crafting!

So Thankful

It is a month of thankfulness, and there are plenty of reasons to be thankful.
Now I think this theme is mainly timely for the US creators. So I added some spring colours for us in the southern hemisphere.

The new beautiful stamp and die set from Stampin'Up. Quite Curvy.  I love the purples in the pattern paper ( left over Sale A Bration from from last year).
Copic markers for the flowers and leaves
YG67  YG25
BV11  RV17

I have never dabbled to much with mixing different colours together, mainly just stayed in the colour groups, but I love how the purple and pink blended nicely together in the flowers.  Added gems in between the pattern cut outs.  Nice little touch.

And looking on side on I popped the top white panel and the blue strip sentiment (Taylored Expressions).

Ok, now don't forget to check out all our other participants playing along.

Me (you are here)

Thanks for looking.  As we near Christmas we will be ramping up our hop frequency to help those a little stuck for inspiration.  Stay tuned.
Happy creating.

November APTTC

Today's share is from the latest challenge over at

A Perfect Time To Create

We have two great sponsors this month

Fred She Said

and

Artsy Stamper

We all got to choose our own digitals to work with.  I chose from Fred She Said

Daisies and Ladybugs

This came with both coloured and no coloured images.  And just like everyone else at this time of year, time is not on our side.  So I opted for the coloured version to save me time.

The Love sentiment is a MFT die.
These printables are awesome for when you are in a time pinch.  Print, cut out and stick it on.  And who can resist daisies and ladybugs together?

Don't forget to play along for your chance to be chosen as a favourite and win a prize/badge.
Happy crafting.

Crafty Christmas Club - October Edition

2 months to go!

Hi and welcome to another great hop of Christmas inspiration from our participants.

I got my Aussie on for this month.  I really enjoyed making this one.  Very time consuming but well worth the effect.
Selective coloured spaces.  The outside the frame is in black and white.  The inner I coloured with an added santa hat.  This set is from Umiquely Creative.  A fabulous Aussie company.

Here is our blog hop list for this month.  There are some awesome projects to inspire you.

Me!

We have a lot more inspiration coming up in the weeks leading up to Christmas.  So stay tuned.
Happy crafting.

#633

Welcome back to another great week of inspiration from our DT over at

Sketch Saturday

Here is the sketch for this week.

For this card I used my The Sassy Club Eighties Bears.

Cardstock is SU Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue and all the rainbow colours too.  I cut those into strips and adhered them onto a spare bit of card and then cut into the shape needed for the sketch.

I love how the clouds are on both the blue and the white panels.  A bit of continuity.

Don't forget to play along for your chance to win.
Happy Crafting.

Crisp and Crunchy

Crisp air, crisp apples, crisp leaves! The crisp blue of the sky. So many things are crisp and crunchy this time of year. Let's revel in them!

Now most of our participants are from the northern hemisphere. Me, I am in Australia so things are heating up down here.  While some will play along the crispy autumn leaves, me, I went with a beautiful cool, crisp start to a spring day.  Green leaves and birds singing.

I don't make many sympathy cards (don't like tempting fate) but having one or two in your stash doesn't hurt.

Today I am using the new Curvy Lines set from Stampin'Up (leaves and birds).  The frame is also from SU, Ornate Layer dies and the sentiment from MFT set.
The patterned paper is from the Peony suite from SU.  the sentiment I silver embossed to add just a  little class to the final project.

You can check out all the other great projects for this hop from the links below.

Such beautiful projects.  Join us again soon for another great theme to play along with.
Happy crafting.

#631

Another great week for a sketch challenge.
Had to think outside the box on this one.

The stamp set I used today I have used many times.  Uniquely Creatives

Good On Ya

I kept it fairly close to the sketch except for the the banners.  Just a little change.
Pop on over to Sketch Saturday  and join in the fun for  your chance to win a prize.

Happy crafting!

Cozy Up

Oh, it's sweater weather! Bonfires and fireplaces, and extra excuses to cuddle! Let's cozy up! Not so much here in Australia but who doesn't love a good snuggle no matter the weather.

Inking up older sets I have in my stash has been a goal for the last few months.
This set is an old one from Clearly Besotted.
One of their original sets so no longer available.

I have always wanted a onesie but will have to settle for my doona (yes!) but these kids look really snuggly/cozy in their little outfits.
The frame is an older Blueprints from MFT.

Now for the rest of the other creative participants.

Me (You are here!)

Full of awesome projects.  Stay tuned in the coming weeks.  We will have more great themes and a huge Christmas hop for some late seasonal inspiration.
Happy crafting!

#630

It is Sketch Saturday time again.

Here is the sketch for this week.

I really wanted to play with my Uniquely Creative stash.  So I pulled out some paper from the
Gums and Roses Collection.

This one I done the usual black ink on the images and coloured them in using copic markers.  I was pleasantly surprised too, when I diecut out the heart ( Cut-a-part Essentials Die #2 ) from their patterned paper that it gave you two cut outs.  One outline and one full image.  Love d it so I used both.  Added the flower die cut image on top.
The little love hearts are from the Good On Ya set.  I was tempted to colour them in but chose to just leave it as the outline images.
I have not decided what sentiment I would like on these cards so I have left them wordless for now.

This one I used SU Sahara Sand to soften the images edges.  Gives it a kind of kids book artist feel I reckon.  Does not have to be perfect but still does the images justice.

Don't forget if you have a blog and would like your chance to win you can enter this weeks challenge as many times as you like.  Click on the link above to take you to the blog where you can add your entries.
Happy crafting.

Spooky Fun

We are having some fun with some spooky stamps in our collections.  Mine is really not "that"spooky but it does have a spider web in it.  If anyone has walked into one you will know what I am talking about, hehe.

Ok.  For my card I used a digital image I bought from etsy.
The web is a really fine stamp.  It is a Tim Holtz one.  Life of the Party.  and the sentiment is an old MFT set.

I know it is a little on the dark side (goes with the spooky theme I guess) but that web did not look as good on any other colour as it did on the black.  And it is such a fine web.  Amazing what they can do.
I used my copic markers to colour the image in.
R29 R27 and R14.
B18 B16 B14
and N9 for the black straps on the outfit.
Turned out exactly how the card was suppose to (like the picture in my head..hehe.)

Now to share with you the other participants in the Spooky hop.

Me ( you are here!)

Loving their cool projects!  Thank you for joining us.  Join us again in a week or two for another great themed hop.
Happy crafting!

APTTC October challenge

This month's challenge sponsor for the month of October is

The Hungryjpeg

I used Ocean Digital papers and clip art for my project.  The colour scheme sucked me right in.  Soft colours but beautiful combinations.

I simply opened a Word doucment.  Inserted the jellyfish image and made it the size I needed.  I also added the paper image and trimmed it down to a little bigger than I needed (and trimmed it later by hand).  Added these to SU Highland Heather cardstock and cut some strips of cardstock into irregular sized panels.  These I used pops to adhere them to the front.  Used a Taylored Ezpresion sentiment using white embossing powder on some Pacific Point cardstock.  Adhere that to the panels and glued some gems on alternate panels.  Simple yet eye catching.

If you play along with use this week by linking to your blog you are in for a chance to win a prize!  So get crafting and don't forget to visit A Perfect Time To Craft for more details.

#629

I am back with another great sketch from

Sketch Saturday

My little inspiration came from another set I have had a while,
I binged watch this show twice(!) in the last few months.  I love these characters so much.

I used a Couture Creations die for the NY skyline and the sentiment is from the set stamped 3 times.
a very simple sketch allows for a simple card to be made in a hurry (except for the colouring of the characters.

Don't forget to play along with the challenge.  Just share your picture and link on the blog page and you are in the chance to win a prize.  Just click the link at the top of this post.
Happy crafting.

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
