APTTC May

A Perfect Time To Craf

is back with another great challenge for us.

And one of our sponsors this month is

and the image I used is

I love the fact that this set comes with its own sentiments.  There are 2 so I made the first one in a larger size, to make it stand out more and to add interest.
The chocolates I coloured them then added white pen over the top over the original design patterns to make the stand out also.
The challenge is open until the end of the month, so play along
for your chance to win.

#520

Time again and it is filled with inspiration.

One of our sponsors this week is

Sheepski Designs

and the image I am using today is

For You

I reckon most kids would love to receive this colourful elephant card.  Such a cute image.
I resisted using him/her to make a baby card  Would be so easy to do.  This would be great for a toddler or  those that just love elephants.
The coloured cardstock is Stampin'  Up.  The little frangipani flowers are from an old My Favorite Things stamp set and the leaves are a mix of Elizabeth Craft and MFT.
I did use matching ink on the leaves to give them some shading and the "Birthday" also has darker tones from matching ink also.

Thank you for popping by.  Don't forget to play along with us over at the challenge blog for your chance to win a prize

#519

Back again with another great group of inspiration with

One of our sponsors this fortnight is

and the image I am creating with is

This image was just to precious to put on the front of a card (for me) so I decided it was to be the cover for May in my diary.
The colour combo matches the diary also, so that took the guess work out of what colours to actually use.....hehe.
Once coloured I cut around the border and mounted it on some SU Very Vanilla cardstock then some Misty Moonlight cardstock and placed it central to the page.
I did add some gems to just add that bit of bling it was missing.
It fitted perfectly in there.  I have been trying to use my diary a lot more this year since, well, we all can do things now.
Don't forget to play along with us.  We love to see all your projects.
Happy crafting!

#698

Back with another great challenge with

Here is Sketch #698

Now when I was coming up with ideas for this sketch, I had it in my mind that it was horizontal not portrait.  But that is ok!  You can do whatever you want with the sketch.  Rotate, flip, omit or add.

You will notice I kept the horizontal through the middle.  But I did omit the 2 rectangular pieces.  I was going to add some light sabers there but what you see here filled the card nicely.
I white embossed the sentiments which are from The Ink Road set "Droid Please".  The paper is 6"x 6"paper pack

The droids are from the Kindred Stamps set
The gold droid is stamped directly onto gold metallic foil card with Staz On.  Using a water based ink would never dry properly and would smudge constantly.
The little blue one is stamped onto white card and coloured with my Copic markers  Blue and greys.
And to add to the illusion of the separated middle piece I just used my white gelly roll pen and my metal ruler.  Fits in nicely with the space background.
Thank you for popping by and checking our my project.

#135

is back with another great sponsor this month.

and the image I am using is one of the cutest ones

I did go down the Newborn route for this one.  But I did make it a little different to the usual baby card.  It is neither pink nor blue.  I went the neutral background with just the leaves and bunny as the coloured pieces.  And looking at this colour palette I thought just a black and white sentiment strip would pop.  And it did.  It also ties in with the dark center on the flower.
Thank you All Dressed Up for the sponsorship.  Without our wonderful digital sponsors we would not be able to create our projects.
And thank you for popping by my corner of the internet.
Happy crafting!

Auggie Corgi Christmas Puppy

time again for me.
I love it when I get asked to request images from the shop  I head straight to the animal images.
He is a cutie and he is perfect for my Christmas preparations.

It is never too early to get those Christmas projects done.  And to make production a little easier, I love doing CAS (clean and simple) cards.
With the ombre background it really allows "Auggie" to pop right off the front.  The sentiment is one from The Ton.  I used this one as it nearly fits the groove along the bottom of the cut out image.
I didn't want to add too much to the background other than the green, so I cut out some tiny silver glittered bits to add to the background.  A little hidden by the watermark but I do know they are there.
Thank you for popping by.  I hope you liked this project
