For The Love Of Summer - Wanderlust

Ever get that feeling of just getting up and going to your favourite spot, whether it be beside the sea or up in the mountains?  Well that is where we drew out inspiration from this week.  Go to a place you love.
I went a little further.  I went with how one would get to their happy place.

My mum bought herself a pop top caravan to trip around the countryside whenever the fancy took her.  Half her luck!  We actually made this card in the classes I hold once a month.  Many of my ladies have, too, bought themselves one in the last couple of years.  And since overseas travel won't be available to us for a while why not make the most of this time to explore our own beautiful country.
The die is from Honey Bee.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Beautiful World.  Don't forget to check out our other blog hoppers for some great inspiration.

Crafty Christmas Club - June Edition

Hi and welcome back to our monthly sharing of Christmas projects.  We have a huge line up for you this week.  HUGE!!

We are currently ramping up for a Christmas in July hop that will go for 4 weeks, so I have kept this week very simple.

My daughter has decided instead of handing out Christmas cards to everyone this year she is just giving a select few a little gift.  So I kept this tag very simple so she can copy it (thanks to my MISTI! What a god send!).  I used Bermuda Bay cardstock for the scallop base and silver for the ribbon trimming.  I kept Santa in traditional colours.

Beautiful World

It is another great week over at

This week is #615

I tweaked my project a little to suit a stamp set that is new from Stampin Up.  Beautiful World is the set. A nice travel or even male set.

All the items I used are SU.  Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, and their DSP.

Pop on over to the sketch challenge page, check out the other DT members projects.  You could even play along for your chance to win a prize!

For The Love Of Summer - Sweet Summeritme

We have another great week of inspiration for you.
This weeks theme is Sweet Summertime.
This is about ice cream and watermelon, grilling on the deck, picnics, bonfires and s'mores, outdoor seating at your favorite eatery, and homemade pies.
My take on summer is cocktails out on the balcony of our holiday unit we get every summer. Relax and watch the world go on around us.
So this theme made me think of drinks that you could make with the fruits of summer.

That beautiful background paper is from my days with Heartcraft Paper.  Designed by Monica Martinez.  A very talented lady.  I finally inked my set from Tim Holtz - Cocktails Blueprint.  I stayed with the pink theme for the drink.  Girly, and I love it!  The white border is actually glittered card stock but it is hard sometimes to get that stuff to shine in a photo. Added a little wink of stella to the cocktail liquid and olives immersed in it too.  Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Over here in Australia we are heading into winter so these drinks seem so far away right now (unless I get the energy to make it myself..lol)
Here is the list of all our other participants in the blog hop.  I hope you find some great ideas to get you going.

We will be back next week with another great theme.  So stay tuned.

Sketch #614

Welcome to another challenge with Sketch Saturday.

Sketch Saturday's 2020 sponsor is Riley and Company

This weeks sketch is number 614.

This week was not my week for DT work but I was more than happy to jump in and give it a go.  It has been a good while since I have played with my Kindred Stamps.  I Need Some Space and It's About Time sets.  So I had a couple of extra pre coloured images and through those on.  The patterned paper is from Stampin'Ups' latest catalogue.  It has a brass foil pattern on it which I continued with the border and strips either side of the patterned paper.

I loved how this turned out.  So fits the theme in every way.  By keeping the colour scheme simple it lets the paper and images pop.

Don't forget to play along for you chance to win some prizes.
Until next time.....have a crafty time!

For The Love Of Summer - Chill Zone

Back again with another great week of inspiration.
This weeks theme is Chill Zone.  This can mean so many things to so many people.

I have wanted to use this set from Stampin Up for so long.  Another one crossed off the "has not been inked up yet " list.  This set is called A Good Man.

Now the paper used in the background is a retired one.  I have so many old patterned papers I figured I should start using them too.  Even though this is a male card, I added some wink of stella on the water in the background to add that "real" water look. A CAS card but I love how it turned out.

Here are the other fabulous members of our blog hop this week.

For The Love Of Summer - Bring On The Colour

Welcome to another collection of themes for our latest blog hop.
Today;s theme is Bring on the colour!
Rainbow colours called out to me on this one.  During this time scrolling through Facebook and seeing all the wonderful inspiration and generosity of the craft community has  been amazing!
Some companies were even more generous by sharing free digital images for us to download and colour in to our hearts content.
For this project I used Stamp Anniething's "Sorry I Missed Your Birthday"

A couple of the Design team members were my inspiration behind this one.  Stephen Kopf and Mindy Beverly.  They are both amazing colourists and designers.  Oh to be half as good as these artists!

And as you can see...I got a little excited and played with the hair colour on each card.
The background I used a MFT cover up die and randomly applied different coloured oxide.
The sentiment is from The Ton.

Don't forget to check out the other projects in the blog hop.

See you all again next week for the next summer theme.

Feet Up and a Cuppa

A Perfect Time To Craft blog challenge is on again.  New month new sponsor.
Junes sponsor is
and the image I got to play with was Feet Up and a Cuppa

Sometimes an image can say so much on its own.  It doesn't need  frames or embellishments.  A clean and simple card can often say more.  The colours I chose for this gentleman I kept in stereotype themes.  I was daunted by this image to start but I was extremely happy in how he ended up.  I placed him in the corner of his lounge room enjoying his cuppa.
And the sentiment from a MFT set I have about wine, fitted perfectly with this image.

Now, do I dare keep this for my fathers birthday?  lol
