Koala-fied #3

Today I share the last of my double projects for you for
using the incredibly cute
Koala-fied

Purely Koala-fied is the set .  So many cute koalas to choose from.
I went into my stash and found a colour cardstock that matched the patterned paper Tricks N Treats the best fir the card base and the cut out behind the koalas. SU Fresh Freesia.
I die cut a random die from my collection ( which I did not label so it is nameless) from brushed silver cardstock.  Adhered this to the patterned paper.  Coloured up my little friend, cut him out and adgered to the rectangles die cut.  Stamped the sentiment and die cut it out using a banner die.  Put all these on the card to finish.
I just love that bokeh background.  Really adds an extra dimension to the card.
Thank you fir stopping by.  If you head to the INS FB page you will see a ton of inspiration from the design team.
Until next time, happy crafting!

#743

I everyone.  Back again with another great sketch from
You get the choice of having an optional twist to play along with.  This week it is use your favourite stamp set.

I didn't play along with the twist today. I bought a new set and took it for a spin.

I have used Stampin Up's Thoughtful Expressions and Notes of Nature.
I have stamped 3 images from the first set.  Coloured them with Copic markers.
I have stamped the ephemera images from the second set with colours to match the bird.  I also inked the top of my paper piercing tool and added colour splotches to the 2 corners.
I added black die cut flowers, from the first sets matching dies ,behind the images.
Added some twine, gems and a sentiment.
Thank you for visiting and don't forget to play along with us.  We love to see your creations.
Happy crafting!

Koala-fied #2

Back to share more cuteness with you from
I am continuing to work my way through each of the Koala images in this set.

Images from
I stamped out the koala image along with 4 of the flowers and 7 of the leaves.  Coloured and cut them all out.
My aim this year is to use more of my stash, so I found this ombre paper and matched it with cardstock.  I die cut a heart from the middle of the paper.  While the die was still attached to the paper I took a pen and drew the outline in.  Added an extra dimension to the image.
I added a white piece of cardstock behind the cut out heart to break up the green.  Added some blue copic marker in the background for sky.  Foam taped this to the card front.  Koala is also popped.  Added the flowers and leaves.  Stamped and cut out the sentiment from the set.  Added a couple of gems to finish off.
Thank you for popping in and checking out my little corner of the "interweb".
Happy crafting

Koala-fied

I am here today to share my first project with
I have to say I am so excited for this.  As you know I am an Aussie and love when a company brings out Australian animals.
Koala-fied is the cutest set yet!!
So many koala's to choose from.  So I played and now I share with you.

Since Valentines Day is comin g up I thought I would play with this cutie couple.  My favourite die to use with Australian themed images is a gum leaf with gum nuts.  So I cut as many as I needed to fill the side of the card.  The stamped images is cut out with SU Deckled Circles.
I hope you like my project and thank you for popping by to have a closer look.
Happy crafting!

#742 and Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2024!

I hope you are all ready for a very busy crafting year.  I know I am.

I take the time between when school finishes for the Christmas break through to the new year to spend time designing and planning for the year ahead.

I plan to be more organized this year,  how

about you?  Balance my life of family, health, get my vegetable garden up and running again and of course, crafting.

I had better get to the first sketch of the year I guess (hahaha).

This is a great sketch for using up your scraps of card stock.  Sometimes it just seems to build up and up. And that also happens to be our optional twist, us scraps!

I did use some scraps for this project.  Having different sized rectangles/squares allows the use of different sized scraps. I used my Honeybee stamps die Lovely Layers Lures for the hooks and bouy.  Love the pop of colour on top of the blue monochromatic background.
I stamped the coral from an old SU set to add to the nautical theme.
Don't forget to play along with us.  It is a great way to kickstart your mojo for the year.
Happy crafting.

Dad's Card 2024

Today I have a quick share.

It is my Dad's birthday this month and I always make him an extra special card as he appreciates the time and thought that goes into making a handmade card.

As he was born in England I figured this year that would be my theme. Plus I grew up with him playing the music from these characters.  Big fan myself.

I was in such a hurry to take a photo of this that I was unable to correct the slightly off kilter balance of the card....lol.  But you get the gist.
And I don't very often, if at all get to share a card I make that is not a DT one.  Thought it was about time I did.
A while back Kindred stamps had a British invasion release.  So many sets from music to movies.
I snapped up most of it I think.  Loved them all.
is the name of this set.  And because they started out in the black and white era of television that is how I coloured them.
was used to fill the top half of the card in.  That pop of colour works well with the b & w images.
A very simple card but looks great all together.
Thank you for popping in and having a squiz.
Happy crafting!

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
