#6 Sketch

Hello and welcome to another fantastic challenge week with

Make the Cards Challenge

This weeks challenge is a sketch one.  Sketch challenges are great for when your mojo just isn't working for you and you need some help (we all do from time to time)'

Now, I had totally planned to use floral images for this one, but, I changed my mind.  Instead I finally coloured up some Ninja's for this one.  I know!  Totally out of left field on this one.

Turtley Awesome stamp set is from Kindred Stamps.

These stamp sets are my guilty pleasure.  I am bit of a geek at heart.

I drew in the brick tunnel behind these "dudes" with my white prismacolour pencil and just added these guys on top of that, following the sketch florals.  Same sketch, totally different look. Thanks for looking.

Don't forget to play along with the challenge for your chance to be a guest designer!

Happy crafting.

 Sketch Saturday is here again.

Here is this weeks Sketch challenge

I have been waiting to use my

I did omit the heart as I felt all the stamped images made this card busy enough and it wouldn't suit the them.

I love the little map at the bottom.  3 different scenes on one card front.  I will do a colour chart on these and will share once done.
Thank you for taking the time to look.

Earth Day

Today I am sharing a card I made for me.  Once in a blue moon I liked to do something a little artier than normal.  First it was the Mandolorian inspired card ( Arty This Way)  This time I used

Earth Day

From

Kindred Stamps

I reckon this could be the perfect friend card.  I lightly drew, in pencil, the hands and done my best to colour them with my Copics.  Lots of E's and some W's and C's.
Next I stamped the images to the right of the hands.  Coloured those in.  Then the background.  Added some white dots for stars with my white gel pen.
I was going to put the little plant in a pot until I remembered it was suppose to be in a boot.  So I stamped the plant in green and then drew the boot around it.
When I look at this a couple of days later, I wonder why I am not drawing more often.  Then it dawned on me.  I am too busy making cards to take the time.  Thinking now that this year I really should think about actually taking that time.  Let us see how that pans out....hehe.  Stay tuned!
Thanks for popping in.
Happy crafting

#5 Colour Challenge

MTCC is back for another great week of inspiration.  This week we have a colour challenge.

I hadn't played with my MFT stamps in a long time so I decided to pull them out and go through them.  This one, I thought, was the best one for this colour combo.
It is so hot right now here in Australia and that water on the card front is looking good right about now.

Colours I used were SU Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  Broken China Distress Oxide and a mix of YR Copics for the orange element.

Don't forget to check out all the other great DT projects and play along for your chance to Guest Design for us.

Happy crafting!

#490 Dr Digi

Hello!  Today is my first post for the Penny Paper-Crafty Challenge blog.

And what a great week to have joined.

Dr Digi is one of the sponsors of this fortnights challenge.

Anglin' Andy

Isn't this the coolest image?  When on holidays I was checking out their local craft shop. There was not a lot there but I found that beauty of a background stamp.  Love the logs.  They really set off Andy.  I even asked my son what colours I should do the fish.  So that is his pick.  I though on some fishing swivels (which he thought I had pinched from him!  LOL)  I always keep some of them in my stash.  you just never know when they will come in handy.

There is a voucher and images up for grabs but you must play along with our challenge for your chance to win.  Good luck and happy crafting!

#4 Circle Challenge

is here again.  #4 challenge is Circles.  Pretty straight forward.

I was lucky enough to be a Guest designer for
                                                                    Uniquely Creative

and the chance to work with their latest set Country Roads.

And some of the Creative Cuts are the perfect size and shape for this theme.

The paper for the background, banners and circles are from the collection.  Perfect for a non gender specific card.  One for the stash.  It was just a matter of layering each circle and adding foam mount tape to ensure some pop out more than others.
Be sure to play along and share your creations.  We would love to see them!
Happy crafting.

Sketch Saturday time!

Here is this weeks sketch

I turned mine 90 degrees anti clock wise for something a little different.

I went with a black and white theme with the "Game On" set from SU.  I coloured in a checker board pattern on the main shape to compliment the chess pieces.  I added some silver metallic thread on the left hand side and some gems to finish it off.  Got to love the monochromatic scheme.

Don't forget to stop on over and check out all the other DT projects and play along for your chance to win.

Happy crafting!

#3 Congratulations Theme

Welcome back to another awesome week of challenges.
This weeks them for MTCC is Congratulations.
I have to say this is one of my fav projects so far.  Using rainbow colours really brightened my day.

A definite celebration going on here.  I even made a rainbow of hair and skin colours.

I used 1 different Mama Elephant stamp sets for this one, Hooray Wishes and Celebration Balloons.
I popped both the images used.  The stenciled background is a Maker Forte one and I used my Distress Oxides with it.  I kept all the children in the same colours to let the balloons and background pop.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog for more inspiration and why not play along also.  We love to see everyones' take on the challenge.
Happy crafting

Creative Craft Cottage

Back again with another new blog challenge.  See.  I told you I was going to be busy...lol

Creative Craft Cottage

Another blog challenge with a different theme  each month. This month is Valentines.

So got my pop up box thing happening again, for that special someone.

All the paper and cardstock are from SU.  I used  Heartfelt Creations for the flowers, Elizabeth Crafts Happy Valentines Day sentiment die and the hearts both die cut and stamped (behind the flower) are from last years Mini SU catalogue.
Sometimes a card is just enough.  Hubby and I don't do Valentines day on a large scale.  Normally just a flower picked from the garden or the like.  We tell each other how we feel everyday and that is special enough for us.
Check out the other great projects from the DT and play along for your chance to win from this weeks sponsor.

Hey Gnomie

 Welcome back.

Today I get to share with you my latest project with

Digi Doodle Studios

using a cute little fellow named

Romy Love Gnome

I chose him for a Valentine's Day project, although I kind of left the sentiment open enough for you to use him for any "loving"  occasion.

Isn't he a cutie.  My thing for Gnomes is starting to show a bit I think...lol. I hope you like him.

Don't forget one fun thing with digital stamps is you can resize them to suit whatever project you are doing.
Until next time, happy crafting!

CCC Digi Creations

2021 is heading up to be a busy year for my in the craftroom.

I have joined up with CCC Digi Creations blog.  Each month we bring you inspirations straight from our craftrooms to you.  Some months are sponsored and we use the sponsors images.

This month is Valentines/Love themed (as February is the month of love!)

I just love all the colours used in this card.  I started with the red heart and the purple base.  I love the Red hat ladies and they inspired me for this.

So I grabbed a heart die (Altenew) and my Heartfelt stamps flower and leaf images  The silver flourish behind the flower is from Couture Creations.  the sentiment is from SU's Forever and Always set.  It looked a little blank so I threw on the Happy Anniversary stamp by Taylored Expressions.  It is a little hard to see but I added a metallic mesh to the left of the heart with some gems scattered on it.

Cropping it you can see it better.  Isn't it the coolest!
I heat embossed, in white, the sentiment onto the heart.  Love white sentiments on coloured card. They really pop when you do that.

So I hope you will join us and share your creation on the challenge page for your chance to win from this weeks sponsor.
Happy Crafting.

APTTC February

It is  A Perfect Time To Craft time again.

Craftsuprint is this months sponsor.

All images are pre designed and so all you need to do is print them off and cut, adhere and admire your hard work...hehe.

My pic was this classy number.  Music Dress Easel Card  It really does make creating all different sorts of cards that sometimes we scratch our heads in an attempt to work out how on earth do we make that!!  hehe

In these two section pictures you can see how I used the extra images they give you and popped them for a 3D effect.

Seriously, you cannot go wrong with pre designed and printed projects.  Excellent for when you are short on time.

Don't forget to play along with this months challenge for your chance to win.
Happy crafting!

#2 Colour Challenge

Our second challenge for this brand new challenge blog is up.

This week is a colour challenge

Purple Ombre

I don't normally focus on so many colours in one card, but that was the challenge, and I took it head on.

I didn't have 4 different purples so I improvised.  The darkest one is  actually the second darkest one but with the matching ink sponged over it.  Worked out perfect.
The diecut I used to cut out the triangles came from the Simon Says Stamp Geometric Builder Squares.  The happy is an old one from SU I have had in my stash forever. The birthday is from MFT and threw on a couple of gems.
Great card for those that have a favourite colour.  Change the colour to suit your recipient.
Don't forget to play along with this fun challenge.  Each week is different so you will be spoilt for choice.
Happy crafting!
