Throwback Sketch #508

It is Sketch time again.  This week is the 5th Saturday of the month which means it is the artists choice!

So I scrolled back through our wonderful designs and chose an oldie but a goodie.

I didn't just make one card with this sketch, I made 4.  All with different characters.

Rock On  from Kindred Stamps.  These are some great characters to work with.

You don't have to do all of them.  Just pick your favourite (or the favourite of the recipient).  I love using these sketches.  Half the job is already done for you.  Just add your image and embellishments and there you go.  I just stuck with a traditional sentiment, but the set does come with some awesome ones.
I hope you liked this project.  Did you check out the rest of the DT and their choices of sketch?
Don't forget to play along for your chance to win!

Eggs & Bunnies & Chicks, Oh My!

Image may contain: sky, possible text that says 'Whai 10 make when you hibernate! 2020'

Welcome back to another week of craftiness.
This week sees the last of our Hibernation projects.  Our theme is Easter based I guess as we are edging closer and closer.

Both these images are from my Craftin' Desert Diva DT days.  I love to colour the coffee cups.  With little effort you can make it look the shape with shading.  The egg was pretty simple.  Each layer of scallop is one shade and the higher you go the lighter the shade (obviously!  lol).

The sentiment is one I printed on the computer.  Sometimes we just don't have the right sentiment and there is no hard and fast rule saying you cannot make your own.
Don't forget to check out everyone else's hard work.

Let's Get Silly

Image may contain: text

Welcome back to our What to make when you hibernate.
Our theme this week is "Let's Get Silly/Snarky" I don't normally make snarky cards but this time I kind of done a sassy kind of card.
Once again I have pulled out my Kindred Stamps for this one.  The sentiment is from My Favourite Things Sassy Pants Love.

I know I am not alone when I say that I have more stamps than I have inked up.  This set is one of those.  One of the, "I will get around to it one day"sets.  We today was this sets day.
Midnight Movie is the name of this one.  Turns out it has been retired *sadface*  You never know, they may do a vault release and if you vote you can vote for it back (limited time).

This would have made a perfect Valentine's card for the fan.

And I even got a close up look at the vest and gloves.  I added some wink of stella to tthem.  Just like the real thing.

Please check out the rest of the awesome projects from our Design Team and leave a little love in the comment section.

It's All About The P's

Hi and welcome back to our blog hop.  This week we had a choice of St Patrick's Day or  Pi day.  Well I will leave you to guess which one from the picture...hehe.

I have been wanting to make something with this fellow since I bought him (many eons ago).  I just love that out of control hair.  What you cannot see in the picture is the number 5 behind him.  I googled the numbers (like most people I only remember the 3.14).  But not to worry.  I think you get the gist of the card.

Here is the list of places to go with our hop.  I hope you find some inspiration from theses awesome people!  I know I did!

Tropicana

Today I am sharing a card I made for our first class back for the year.

I love this Uniquely Creative set Tropicana.

Plus it gave me an excuse to play with my copic markers.  I really hadn't played with them much this year.  But I have a feeling that is about to change.

The background stencil is a Tim Holtz one and I used Salty Ocean Oxide with it.
And the biggest bonus with Uniquely Creative is the fact they are Australian!!  I am more than happy to keep my crafting money here for a change.

Keep an eye out for more creations using this set.  It is just gorgeous!

Birthday Valentine

Back again with another card for Sketch Saturday.
This time I am just playing along for fun!

The sketch this week is

It is totally up to you whether you go exactly to the plan or add or remove what you like.  I stuck mostly to the above sketch.

Here is my version.

I used half a heart for my bottom left hand circle.  I only just recently bought this set from MFT.  I don't refer to them as My Favorite Things.  My class ladies call them Tania's Favorite Things....hehe.  I have so many of their stamps and dies...I could open a shop!  (But I wouldn't!)

You can check out all the DT's projects and what prize is up for grabs.

Don't forget to share your project too!  You never know, yours may be chosen as a winner!

Valentines Day

Image may contain: text

Hi and welcome to another great blog hop with an amazing design team.
This is an extension from our Crafty Festival Of Christmas hop.

Our first challenge for this batch is Valentines, Galentines and all the TInes.
Now I have not received or made a batch of Valentines since I have been married (and I am ok with that.  We don't need a card to say "I Love You") but I will admit I had fun making these!

No.1

A little hard to see but the big "U" is cut our of Dazzling Diamond glimmer card.  All products used in this project are from SU except for the Alpha die (MFT) and the little heart sequins are from Craftin Desert Divas (no longer available :-( ).

No.2

Again all SU except for the Arrow die (MFT).  I don't normally play with such bold colours but I really am loving seeing my work space covered in red and white.

No.3

And how could I not do a pop up card.  With all those hearts I needed to add some flowers, after all that is a traditional gift on V-day.  All are SU except for the Sentiment (Karen Burniston) and the flowers (Heartfelt Creations).

Here are all the links to see the amazing projects that the DT have made.

February Challenge

Hi again!  Two posts in one day for me (been very busy!)

Today I am sharing my project using craftuprint images, PARISIENNE HEIRLOOM PLANNER JOURNAL

I chose a quick and easy journal to make.  The pages are already done for you, you just need to print them out to whatever size you need.  I made my little journal with cardstock and glued the pages to these.  Print as many inside pages as you like. That is the awesome thing with these sets!!

Great little idea for when you travel.  I used this one on our annual holiday over Christmas.  Big enough to not take up too much space in my handbag.  And who doesn't need another notebook, I ask you!  LOL

Don't forget to play along with our challenge this month for your chance to win.  You have to be in it to win it!

Here is sketch #595:

and now for my take on this.

My first class back every year, my ladies get to do a whole bunch of male cards.  This was one of them.  I used the sketch as my inspiration .  When you have a sketch it can make the card just fall into place.  ( this is a god send!)

The stamp sets used from Paper Rose Studio.  An  Australian company.  I am loving the Aussie companies at the moment.
Don't forget to play along for you chance to win.  Thanks for looking!

Sketch Saturday time again.   I thought I might do a male card for this sketch. This is a set I bought but have never used.  My aim this ...
