January APTTC

Welcome to a brand new year of creating!  Do you have any new years resolutions?  I have not made any solid or particular ones just to say I am going to try and focus on things (many things) a bit more this year.  Anyway I am here to kick off the New Year with another great challenge over at

and one of our great sponsors this month is

I don't think I have ever used any of these images before (I could be wrong as I have done many projects over the years) so I had a real good look at what they had to offer.
There was a time when making projects I could honestly say butterflies were always present.  Have not made many butterfly cards in recent months so I chose this image.

I  printed it in 2 different sizes, just for something a little different.  This is one of the biggest benefits of digital images, resizing!  I was going to just colour the smaller panel but in the end chose to colour it all.  I chose softer colours for this one. I wasn't going to use black for the base card, but it really made the colours pop.

Again, it is hard to tell but I did add wink of stella to the wings of the butterflies.  And it has been a long time since I used butterflies.  Once upon a time I used to use them on nearly every card.  Funny how I styles change with time and releases.
Don't forget to play along for your chance to win with us this month.

Cloud 9 Release

Welcome to my first blog hop with Digi Doodle Studios
This is their Cloud 9 release!
I was lucky enough to get this cutie!

And all I could see were clouds and rainbows.  I made a pop up card (just for something different...lol) and went sky blue to make the clouds and images pop!

The sentiment could not be anything other than rainbow colours to match the die cut behind our little angel.
I even cut out the butterfly and attached him so it looks like he is flying right beside out little man.

#511

We are back!

This weeks sponsor is
and my image is

I have wanted to play with this image for so long!! Who can resist these gorgeous little fellows.  I turned them all into Santa's little helpers.  You can turn a party image into a Christmas one very easily.
So I whipped out my red Copic markers and went to town.  Not a lot of colouring needed for this one but since they are grouped together it fills the panel very quickly.

I tried my best to get the angle right to show I added some Wink of Stella to their hats.  I kept the card very simple as I thought the crowded image was plenty for this card and the glimmer adds just that bit of bling without taking it too far.

Peyton's Painted Eggs

I am back with my GDT project this month with

Our theme is Christmas (of course) and I chose to do something a little different with

This is obviously not your run of the mill Christmas image.  And I really wanted to play with this fellow so much as he is just adorable with all his painting mess.
Very easy to switch up this non traditional image, just add the right colours and the perfect sentiment. Hard to tell in the photo but I did add gold wink of stella to the gold paint to make it shine.  Just wish glitter photographed better.
Thank you for "hopping" by and visiting my corner of the web.

December APTTC

is here again.  This month we have 2 sponsors and the one I had the pleasure of working with is
and the image I chose was

These young elves look so broody don't they?  This time I chose not to do a card, and instead do some bookmarks.  I coloured their hair different to see how they looked.  I kind of like both.  No favourites this time around.  The background on the bookmarks are Tea dye Oxide ink.  And the ribbon and string I used gives it the forest/earthy feel.
Do love a chibbi image.
Anyway don't forget to stop by the challenge to see the other projects from the design team and why not play along for your chance to win.

#510

That time again!
and this fortnights sponsor is

Patty's Creations

and my image to create with is

Mouse Sleeping In Sardine Can

Even though this little fellow is not the most conventional image to use, he is totally cute none the less.
I was originally going to make this a "Shopping List" notebook because he is sleeping in a sardine can, but I thought I would Make the sentiment a note worthy one instead.  And the little mouse is doing what I love to do, take a nap!  lol.

I thought I would use a couple of my Elizabeth Craft dies to add a little interest to the card front, the green mesh one and the arrow in the circle top right.
This project shows that any image can be used for whatever purpose you choose.
Don't forget to check out the other DT projects and maybe even play along for your chance to win a prize.

Back again with another fortnight of inspiration with
The sponsor this time around is

The image I played with was

This image is just the best sought to practice your colouring on.  I kept this card as one dimension with nothing popped at all.  Need to add more shading in the shade of the bear and ball but otherwise it works.  I drew in the window and table and cloth.  This card is all about the image.
Don't forget to play along for your chance to win and also check out the other DT projects.
Thanks for looking.

#146 Add Some Sparkle

Welcome back to another great challenge with Creative Craft Cottage

Sadly this will be our last one over there unless someone would like to take on the blog challenge.

This month we had to add some sparkle to our projects.

I usually make a selection of pop up cards for sale each year in my market stall.  This is just one design but in 4 different colours.

Sometimes in our crafting, when taking photo's it is hard to see metallics.  But the 3 in the back have silver foil diecuts and the front one has gold foil.

The stockings are embossed with gold or silver embossing powder to match.  If I get some time later this week I will take some close up photo's and add them to this post.

Please check out the other DT members projects and join us and play along , at what will be our last challenge.

Happy crafting.

Chipper Tweets Winter Christmas Tag

Welcome to another great Digi Doodle Studio's inspirational project.
This months theme for me is Christmas.  I got to choose a really cute little fellow

Once again I did not go with traditional colours.  Pink, purple and gray for the win! Lol

Using my copics I coloured the image.
Pinks R89 R85 R83 R81
Purples V09 V17 V15 V12
Greys C5 C3 C1
Brown was E27
Beak was YR23 YR21 YR20
Background B00
I hand drew the border twice to get the little overlaps.  After I took this photo I coloured the little closed in bits with V15.  If I get a chance I will take another photo and add it in.  It really does finish it off nicely.
I didn't go for a bright orange for the beak as I did not want it to stand out.  The next photo if you look closely shows I added in some wink of stella to the hat and leaves.  It is such a shame it is hard to photograph that shimmer as a whole when looking at the card.

The really cool thing about this image is you can add your own favourite sentiment in the little tag he has hanging underneath him.  Mine came from a Stampin'Up set I have.  "Frosted Gingerbread"
Throw on a few gems and BAM!  You have an awesome Christmas project.
Thank you so much for popping in and visiting my little corner of the web.
Until next time, happy crafting!

#131 Christmas/Winter

It is CCC Digi Creations time again.  This month we do not have a sponsor so we could freestyle our projects to suit. There is a theme though, "Christmas/Winter" , and from my project you can tell what I chose.

I have been making Christmas projects all year and have a ton of paper so I wanted to make something that would use some of my stash.  This was perfect.  With a piece of cardstock with 2 panels die cut out I popped this up using foam mounts.
Coloured in some images from MFT and Paper Smooches.  Diecut these out and added them as you see in the photo.  The sentiment was from a Tim Holtz set from last year.  But the person receiving it does not know this.  Hehe.
Please don't forget to check out the other DT inspirations and if you get a chance to, play along!
Happy crafting.

November APTTC

Our team is back with another month of awesome inspiration over at A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge
Our cponsor this month is Fred She Said Designs

And the image I have used is Naughty or Nice Elf

I coloured the little elf in with my Copics and then I heat embossed some silver embossing powder.
I wanted to keep things simple to allow the image to shine, so I sponged on some Oxide ink.  Next time I might just add the oxide ink first as it seemed to have taken the shiny-ness off the embossing.
We all learn from our experiences. I do love a Clean And Simple card though.
Definitely my fav kind.
Don't forget to check out all the projects and even play along if you want a chance to win a prize.
Until next time, happy crafting.

My time again with Sketch Saturday.  Our sketch for this week is

Now I did tweak this one a little. I was in a minion mood today and simplified the sketch.

I replaced the diamond with a circle and the sentiment is just one strip rather than 2.  And I omitted the bow.  The image I used was from a Limited Edition box from
You will find so many Fandom themes here.  I just love using their stamps and have a ball coming up with ideas.

Sparkle Glitter and Joy Snowmen

Back again with another project in my Guest Designer spot for

The image I had the pleasure of playing with is

Sparkle Glitter and Joy Snowmen

I chose not to use the traditional red and green colours for this Christmas themed card.  Shades of blue and a pop of purple.  I just love these cutie snowmen.  They are just gorgeous!
The shaker mix is a " real" mix. It has some of Catherine Poolers St Cloud mix, Uniquely Creative's Snowy Sequin mix, and glitter.  I even used a couple of snowflakes in the top right corner with a gem on each one for a little more bling.
Since the snowmen are so lazily draped over the sentiment, I felt there was no need for anymore words on this card front.  I think having it as a shaker is all this card needed.  The background stamp is an old MFT one (I honestly cannot remember the name) and I am sure it was not meant for Christmas cards.  The swirls in it I took to be chilly winds and thought it would fit perfectly with this theme.
Thank you for visiting my corner of the web.  Happy crafting!

#506 Penny's Paper Craft Challenge

We have another great challenge for you this fortnight.  Our sponsor for this round is

and the image I chose to use is

Owl Whisperer

I decided to with this pre coloured image to make some bookmarks.  Youngest daughter was having a sleepover so I made one each for the girls to use.  The set does give you the uncoloured image as well as the pre coloured one.
I use some fabulous metallic ribbon from SU. This is my favourite mesh and cherish it, so the girls were lucky to receive it.  We all have something in our stash we don't want to part with.  Also used a metal thread to tie the bow.  Just enhances the beautiful image at the center of the project.

Oh and the die I used to make these bookmarks was a Mama Elephant one.

SS #677

Sketch Saturday time again! Here is our sketch for this week.

You will notice in my project I omitted the horizontal piece and the bow.  I just felt they did not go with my project.

I like the simplicity of this one. It allows the character to really pop.
I did add another rectangle panel behind the character as I didn't like only 4.  The 5th one finishes it off nicely.  If you are into this kind of theme or any fandom, you can find some awesome products at
Don't forget to play along and also check out what else the other DT members have done.
Happy crafting.

#144

We are back for another great month of fantastic projects.  There is no sponsor this month so we are free to use whatever we want.
The theme is
Anything but Square

Love that spiral stencil.  It just fits this theme perfectly.  The stamp I used, the man, the red banner and the sentiment are from a set called Secret Agent  from Kindred Stamps
Granted the card is rectangle so this card totally meets the brief!
Don't forget to check out all the other DT projects and you can even play along if you like.  We love seeing what everyone comes up with.

Patch

\

My project for Digi Doodle Sturdios as a GDT is here again.
I chose an a Christmas image to work with, as I am getting ahead for the silly season.

Not your usual combination of colours for Christmas, but I am having fun doing things a little different of late. I started out with blue and silver then for some unknown reason I added pink.  Having done that the base card needed to be the same to make the blue pop.  The blue background is a mix of Broken China and a Navy Oxide (I cannot remember for the life of me and is hidden under all the rubble of craft supplies on my table...lol). I then spritzed water onto the blue background and used paper towel to remove to leave lighter blue patches.
I did not use a die for the polaroid picture.  I just eyeballed it and used my trusty metal ruler and pen knife.  Sometimes you don't need the real thing.
A little hard to see in the picture but I did pop the polaroid and then the baubles in the corners.  Adds some dimension to the card front.
Thank you so much for popping by.  I hope you like my project.
Happy crafting!

#129 No Patterned Paper

Welcome to another great month of inspiration with the CCC Digi Creations challenge blog.
This months sponsor is Star Jam Lines
I got the one of the cutest images ever.

A year or two ago I bought some cute little clay clouds.  I finally found a use for  them other than for shaker cards.  This card is now  one of my favourites.  Baby cards seem to be my latest thing.  But then you can never have enough.  Our theme with this image was no patterned paper.  I love making these cards.  And using a soft blue fro the background was perfect.
Don't forget to check out all the the other DT projects.  And do yourself a favour and check out Star Jam Lines images.  They are just gorgeous!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge is on once again.  this weeks sponsor is

Paper Nest Dolls

and the image I am using is

Ellie With Stocking

She is a gorgeous girl this one. You can change the colour of her hair to match any grandchild or recipient of the card.
I used mustard seed oxide ink on the card cover and candied apple on the strip behind the image.  I then spritzed some water on these in droplets and removed with paper towel.  I stamped a bauble on the yellow panel to add to the Christmas theme.
I stamped "The Ton" sentiment out in 2 different colours to match the rest of the theme.  All this mounted on SU Garden Green cardstock and little strips of the same colour behind the girl to just break up the background a little.
A big thanks to Paper Nest Dolls for allowing us to play with their images this challenge.
Happy crafting!

APTTC September

It is A Perfect Time to Craft blog challenge again.  This month we have a new sponsor
She has some awesome images to choose from.  I got to play with

I really mixed it up.  I used a MFT stencil, Lotus flowers are from a Waffle Flower set (that is many moons old) Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Oxide inks as well as Copic markers to colour Jasmine in.
It really was an easy project to do.  It just fell together. And I really wanted the digital image to be the stand out feature as that is who we are promoting this month.
Big thank you to Beat Paper for allowing us to us her images.  I have bought several of them in the past and I have to say there will be plenty more in my cart very soon.
Happy crafting!

Stampers Delight are our sponsor this week over at Penny's
My image is the just the cutest!

                                                                   Anime Believe In Yourself

I had fun playing with this one.  Not only using an anime type image but the colour combo's on this one.  I love them!!  Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry, both from Stampin'Up.
I even done an ombre hair style for this little lady.  My daughter is jealous.  She wants her hair so badly...lol.
Don't forget to check out all the other DT members blogs for their awesome projects, and pop on over to Stampers Delight for all your digital images.

Owl-some Owls

Today is  Ink N Splatter time. I had the privilege of playing with the new release Owl-some Owls stamp set.  I also used the paper pack ...
