Hooray!

Sharing again today another project done for Craftin Desert Divas

This time I used not only the girl blowing bubbles, but I used the puppy (he is sooo cute!) and the flower with butterfly images from Summer Games.

I used the "hooray" from the Torn Paper Die and a square die from Pocket Pieces HI Dies for the trio pictures.  Then just mounted those on purple cardstock and trimmed to leave a thin border.
I love this little card.  Very bright and cheerful.  And what little girl wouldn't love purple and a puppy pic!
Have a great day!

Here is sketch #565:

I love  this so much!!!  It was just one of those projects that fell into place.  Even the colours are not my normal go to, but they work so well.
The image I used was Leannes Party .
Don't forget to play along with sketch for your chance to win!

Hi

I been very busy working behind the scenes getting some projects done for this months
 Craftin Desert Divas May release.

It is spring time in the northern hemisphere (here in Australia we on our way to winter!) and these images play a big part of kids enjoying the warmer weather.
Summer Games Digi Stamp is a gorgeous little set with so many images.  Making it a very economical set.

I did get a little tricky and added a stump image from another digi set, Growing Love.
I printed out two lots of bubbles from this girl image to add a few more to the card.  The hexagonal cut out  has the center piece actually adhered to the inside of the card for a window effect.
And don't worry if you don't have a cloud stencil.  Tear some paper into strips and use those to mask off areas.  Can make for great random shapes.
Keep checking out the FB page for more great projects using this new release set.  I know I am!

Colour Combo's

Welcome back to my little corner of the blogging world.

Today I am sharing some fun I had colouring up some images for

My job was to also add the colour listing that I used.  This is a very good practice for all us crafters. You never know when you are going to make that fabulous colour combo and months down the track you want to replicate it.  Documenting your colour choices can be very handy to do.

is the name of the images.  Aren't they just the cutest!  There are several more images not coloured here so this makes this a very economical set.
If you couldn't tell I love to colour.  Even just sitting down for a couple of minutes a day can make a bad day seem good.  Have a go!  You may surprise yourself.

Springtime

Hello again!  I am back with another project for the fantastic

The theme for this month is Spring.  I found a real little cutie on the digi page

She has flowers in her hair and so happy the days are warming up (here in Australia they are cooling down....thankfully!).

The frame die is Inside Scallop die and the flower with leaves is from another set Inside Scallop Circle Dies

Very much a spring birthday card.  I love the colours of this little lady.  Her eyes just pop!
Don't forget to pop on over to CDD;s facebook page for more Spring inspiration.  The ladies are smashing it!

Have a great crafting day!

Therm-O-Web with Kindred Stamps

Hi all!  Today I got a chance to play with some products for thermo-o-web in a collaboration with Kindred Stamps

.

Here are the products I received in my DT package.  How cool are those foils!!  Now I didn't use them all in the project which allows me now to do another post using those that I didn't play with today.

The Purple tape is a very handy item to have in your main supplies.  Helps to hold down those pesky stencils that move and to hold any masking paper in place. And not to mention holds your dies in place whilst die cutting.

So that is where I started. I needed to hold down my cardstock and mask it off.  I used the Ultra Bond adhesive with a paint brush. This is not your conventional way of applying this but since I do not have a Laminator, this is another way in which to adhere it.
Pull the masking away and rub on your foil (pattern facing you), now I done some research and you can run this through your diecut machine (with no dies and the full sandwich of your plates). Once you run it through, pull the foil sheet away.

Next I masked off areas on the card front and alternated the blue and white ink.

This is my version of a crystal castle background.

Then I added my coloured and fussy cut image with the white embossed sentiment underneath.  These all come from the set Winter Friends from Kindred Stamps.  What a perfect pairing.  The shininess of the foil with the Winter glam of this character.
Lastly I added some random gems and some snowflakes and a strip of silver foil card.
And don't worry if you have some little patches missing.  It can add to the character of the card.

So all products used are as follows
Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil  (Pictured not used today)
Metallix Gel White Pearl (pictured not used today)
Stencil Pal (pictured not used today)

As you can see I have plenty of products left to do a second posting and cannot wait to use them.  That Pearl gel leaves such a beautiful effect to your project.

Don't forget to check out what others are making using these fabulous products!
You can head on over to the KS fan page or head on over directly to therm-o-web and nab yourself some of the cool toys!
