Hi and welcome to another Saturday Sketch Challenge. Today we used this sketch .....
and the company sponsoring this week is
Oddball Art Co.
They have the spookiest and quirkiest images I have ever seen. I am in luuurve I tell you!
And the image I chose is nothing like I have seen before.
The coolest (is it even cool to say cool anymore? lol) Octopus I have ever seen!
I could not wait to get started on this one. And the sketch made it easy to do too.
Steampunk is not my normal go to style but I love it! But he turned out pretty good I thought.
The silver foil card I die cut from an old SU Top Note die I have in my stash. It is great when you can us some of the old stuff you have and haven't used in years. I then embossed it using a 3D folder of Tim Holtz's. Rubbed on some black paint (Distress Paint Black Soot) then used my finger to get the paint into all the little nooks and cranny's. Used a paper towel to just remove some of the excess paint. Repeated on some copper foil card that is the strip behind the top note cut out.
Ran a piece of Basic Grey card through the emboss folder as well but sponged on a little black ink to highlight the pattern.
Thanks for having a look. Don't forget to participate in the sketch challenge for your chance to win the prize provided.
Till next time.........

Then I die cut some gears and cogs from some copper foil card using Gearheads from Tim Holtz Alterations. I just layered these on top of each other instead of the flowers on the sketch (seen above). Then added the tags underneath. Love this instead of a bunch of flowers.
And some of the little circles that pop out of these gears, once cut, I used in the bottom corner just to fill it in a little without going over the top.
And lastly I added the little fellow himself. I did cut off the end curls and the dangling heart after I accidentally cut one curl off. So I omitted them all. I tried dangling a couple of metal hearts instead but decided to scrap it. One last look at the card.
Till next time.........
