APTTC August

This months sponsor is

And I was lucky enough to choose my image.  And Christmas is totally on my mind right now.

And I totally made him swing!!!
Using a set of Rectangular dies I cut the front out with the smaller one and then cut a border of silver glitter card with the smaller one and then the next size up.  This acts as a border around the die cut hole in the front of card.  Just makes it look nice and tidy while adding a bit of bling at the same time.

I coloured the Sanat image in and then fussy cut it out.  Adhered this to some clear acetate.  When cutting this again again I left strips above the rope so I could slip that in between the card front and the patterned paper.  Makes the finished product nice and neat and the ropes not not hanging out anywhere.

So when you stand the card up a little breeze will make him move slightly.  Totally lives up to his name.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Swinging Santa.  Don't forget to play along with the challenge for your chance to win!

Happy crafting!

#706

Been a good while since I have played along with one of our sketches.
I have been so busy with prep for our local Pop Culture event that I fell away from here.

Well I am back!  And this was a great sketch to step back with.

#706
And here is my interpretation.

I went straight to a set that at least 5 characters in it.
Two sets actually.  Pick and chose who to use.
and
From

I even consulted my youngest daughter on which characters to colour for this one.  So it was a family effort.
I am still working through all my sets and the colour codes with my Copics.  I will share, just want to get a few more done before taking photo's to share.
Don't forget to play along with us. We have fun looking at all the entries.
Happy crafting.

Buster St Bernard Christmas Puppy

Time again,to share my Guest DT project.
This month I chose to use the cute little image of

Getting my Christmas on once again.  This time I went for a full rainbow line up!

So not your normal colour combo's for Christmas but I think that that is half the fun of these.
Looking at the line up I really think pink is missing.  Not a rainbow colour but still would have looked great.
These are awesome to encourage young kids to read over the Christmas break.  They get to choose their favourite colour and use it everyday.  Win, win!
And as an added bonus, as this image is a digital one you can resize it for anything.  So you could put it on a notebook front or sketch book for the kids to use along side their summer/ winder reading (depending on what hemisphere you are in!).
I used watercolour paper with distress oxide to do the backgrounds.  I coloured the images with copic markers and then fussy cut them out and adhered to the paper.
Thank you for joining me today.
Happy crafting!
