Hi all! Today I got a chance to play with some products for thermo-o-web in a collaboration with Kindred Stamps.
Here are the products I received in my DT package. How cool are those foils!! Now I didn't use them all in the project which allows me now to do another post using those that I didn't play with today.
The Purple tape is a very handy item to have in your main supplies. Helps to hold down those pesky stencils that move and to hold any masking paper in place. And not to mention holds your dies in place whilst die cutting.
So that is where I started. I needed to hold down my cardstock and mask it off. I used the Ultra Bond adhesive with a paint brush. This is not your conventional way of applying this but since I do not have a Laminator, this is another way in which to adhere it.
Pull the masking away and rub on your foil (pattern facing you), now I done some research and you can run this through your diecut machine (with no dies and the full sandwich of your plates). Once you run it through, pull the foil sheet away.
Next I masked off areas on the card front and alternated the blue and white ink.
This is my version of a crystal castle background.
Then I added my coloured and fussy cut image with the white embossed sentiment underneath. These all come from the set Winter Friends from Kindred Stamps. What a perfect pairing. The shininess of the foil with the Winter glam of this character.
Lastly I added some random gems and some snowflakes and a strip of silver foil card.
And don't worry if you have some little patches missing. It can add to the character of the card.
So all products used are as follows
Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil (Pictured not used today)
Metallix Gel White Pearl (pictured not used today)
Stencil Pal (pictured not used today)
As you can see I have plenty of products left to do a second posting and cannot wait to use them. That Pearl gel leaves such a beautiful effect to your project.
Don't forget to check out what others are making using these fabulous products!
You can head on over to the KS fan page or head on over directly to therm-o-web and nab yourself some of the cool toys!
so cool--my granddaughter would love this.
