Technique Tuesday

Welcome to my first Technique Tuesday.
This is where I will take a stamp set (for now my Kindred Stamps sets as I have so many that need to be inked and colour coded), and stamp them into my notebooks and record all the colours needed for them.  So handy to have for future references.

The set I am sharing with you today is Arabian Nights.  A set I have been promising to share for a few weeks now but life seemed to have other plans for my time...hehe.  Is it just me or has this year just flown?  We have been non stop since Easter and only just now am I catching my breath. Only 127 days till Christmas folks!  Ouch!

I really need to buy another camera. This ipad thing is just not working for me but it will do in a pinch.

I will be sharing a sneak peak, later this week, of the next set I am colouring up. So stay tuned!

First Moody Monday

Today I am starting a new thing (well for me).  To get me to keep creating on a more consistent basis I have headed over to Pinterest and perused their long, long, long colour combo inspirational pages.  Each week I will pick one (and ones that I am not used to so as to challenge myself) and share that pic and then a project I have come up with that uses said combo's.

Here is my first one

I cannot remember ever using these colours together before so this was an interesting challenge for me.  I will admit, this did cause me some trouble.  Using more than 3 colours to combine together can do my head in.  But here you are!

Stamps used were MFT, Altenew and Clearly Besotted and the colour coded tag is from Waffle Flower and their latest release.  I can see me doing this more often for my projects!

If you would like to join in with me that would be great.  Go to my Facebook Page and find the above pictures and share yours in the comments underneath.  I would love to see what you come up with!
Tomorrow I am sharing my colour combo's for Technique Tuesday.
Hope you can join me.

Happy Birthday

Hi and welcome back to my little corner of the cyber world.
Today I am playing with a kit kindly sponsored by Scrappin Fun Kits.  Another great pop culture themed one.

I am still getting used to using my kids ipads to take photo's as my camera has decided to die on me.
I have used the grey mottled patterned paper from the kit, die cut it in the bottom right corner with one of Tim Holtz's distress dies.
Added this to a black card front.  Then I added the planet post it to the top left corner (love this item.  Who knew it existed!!).  I used my Stampin Up Stitched dies to cut out the image from a paper napkin from the kit and mounted that on the next size up die black card.

I add the "Star Wars "confetti pieces to the underside to only show one line of the word both top and bottom.  Added the little circle pic on the right bottom and just a very simple Happy Birthday to finish it off.

IF you would like this kit you can grab it from Here.  Keep an eye out for another project with this kit coming soon to a galaxy near you!

Wishing Princess Friends

Hello cyber world!
It has been a while.  Too long.  I have missed posting (believe it or not!).  Once all my Design Team terms ended I was concentrating on my Pop Culture stall for a local event we have, where I live, every year.  And then I took a week off.  Phew.  The short break done wonders for my crafting battery (hehe).

I did say I would share all the colouring from this, that I challenged myself over 30 days to do.  I will do that, but first I am sharing a new digi set from  Kindred Stamps called

Aren't these little guys the cutest!  And for those that would like the copic colour combo's I have a photo below with all listed.  This is something I am doing with all my KS sets.  It is handy to have when I need to colour up more characters without the time consuming part of trying to pic the combo's I need.

Digital images are so easy to use.  This set has all of them on the one PDF page.  Simply download, print and colour away.  No editing needed as they are sized perfectly to go with the
I'm Wishing set.  No muss, no fuss!

Thank you for taking the time to check out this moody lot.  I can so relate to nearly all of these daily, can you? lol
Have a great crafty day my friends!

30 Day Colour Challenge

I have been so busy colouring for the upcoming FraserPop Culture Festival that I have forgotten to share some of my work.
So here goes.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6

Day 7

Not only do I colour up this example but I make multiples of each (from 5 to 20 depending on the character).  That is a lot of colouring.  This month is going to be a very productive one!

If you want to follow the daily posts on FB you can find me here!

Will share tomorrow the next 7 days.
Happy Crafting!

Mermaids

Hi eveyone. I am back today with some CAS style cards using the mermaid images I coloured (in another post) from Craftin Desert Divas

All four of these images are available over in the Craftin Desert Divas Digital section.

The background I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch oxides on watercolour paper.  The sentiments are just simple ones I printed out from a Word document.  I matched up the base card with each mermaid to give them an individual look.  Any mermaid lover would be more than happy to receive one of these!

Have a great crafty day!

Swing time

Sharing my last new release project for this Summer Games digital set from Craftin Desert Divas

I was messing around with colour combo's with my oxides and this one caught my eye.

Isn't she just gorgeous!  It is almost like a sunset in the background.
I used the Torn Paper Dies ( rectangle shape and the hooray) and the leaves from Inside Scallop Dies

Threw on a few gems and printed out a simple Happy Birthday sentiment.  Very easy card to copy.  Even for a beginner

Happy Crafting!
